“For He satisfies the LONGING SOUL, and fills the HUNGRY SOUL with goodness” – Psalm 107:9
In response to sincere longing and hunger, God will always release HELP for UNHEALTHY SOULS: “For He satisfies the LONGING SOUL, and fills the HUNGRY SOUL with goodness” (Psa.107:9). It is not His delight to leave any soul in an unhealthy state. God will satisfy the longing soul, fill the hungry, restore the weary, and uplift the depressed. The soul is central to the human being. He or she is a tripartite personality: a SPIRIT with a SOUL living in a package called the BODY. Paul prayed: “Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole SPIRIT, SOUL, and BODY be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ” (1The.5:23). At the inception of humanity, it was by the release of God’s breath into the physical frame, the body, that “man became a Living Soul” (Psa.2:7).
The soul is that core of every human being that would either be eternally saved in Christ, or damned and forever lost in a Christ-less eternity in hell. The Lord Jesus says: “And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell” (Mt.10:28). The soul was purposed to operate in harmony with divinity, but sin dented the soul. Sin is the sickness of the soul, for which salvation, deliverance, and restoration are required.
Here are twelve conditions of the unhealthy soul as described in Psalm 107 and other related scriptures:
The wandering soul: “They wandered in the wilderness in a desolate way…” (v.4) – the soul in desolation!
The fainting soul: “Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them” (v.5) – the soul in need of rejuvenation.
The troubled soul: “Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and He delivered them out of their distresses” (v.6).
The longing and famished soul: “For He satisfies the longing soul, and fills the famished soul with goodness” (v.9).
The bound and afflicted soul: “Those who sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, bound in affliction and irons” (v.10) – the soul in need of liberation.
The lean soul: “And He gave them their request, but sent leanness into their soul” (Ps.106:15) – the soul in need of nourishment.
The bitter soul: “… I will speak in the anguish of my spirit; I will complain in the bitterness of my soul” (Job 7: 11).
The wounded soul: “The dying groan in the city, and the souls of the wounded cry out” (Job 24:12a) – the soul in need of healing.
The vexed soul: “My soul also is greatly troubled; but You, O LORD – how long?” (Psa.6:3) – the soul in need of peace.
The fearful soul: “My soul is among lions; I lie among the sons of men who are set on fire, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword” (Psa.57:4) – in need of boldness and courage.
The needy soul: “He will spare the poor and needy, and will save the souls of the needy” (Psa.72:13).
The depressed soul: “Yes, his soul draws near the Pit, and his life to the executioners…He will redeem his soul from going down to the Pit, and his life shall see the light…To bring back his soul from the Pit, that he may be enlightened with the light of life” (Job.33:22, 28,30).
The devil is all out to deceive, defeat, and destroy souls. God delivers, rescues, and restores souls. God is the Healer and Helper of souls: “To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield” (Psa.33: 19-20). “The Lord redeems the soul of His servants, and none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned” (Psa.34:22). Beloved, what is the condition or state of your soul? The Shepherd of our souls will divinely intervene to deliver and release Help for every unhealthy state of soul. He’ll transform your soul into a blossoming and flourishing state for His Glory…if you believe!

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
