Bible Meditation:
Psalm 139: 1-18

“I will praise YOU, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvellous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well – Psalm 139:14

TODAY, I CELEBRATE CHRIST – MY LIFE. I celebrate my Creator, Maker, and Author of MY Life! Fifty-eight years ago today, my Father-God ushered me into planet earth through the womb of His gentle maiden Florence Idowu Ilesanmi. My Creator and Maker had planned and purposed my destiny in His eternal Heart. He had “formed my inward parts…covered me in my mother’s womb” (v.13). My frame was not hidden from Him, when He made me in secret, and skilfully wrought my structure and surface. His eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in His book all my life’s parts were written; my days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them (vv. 15-16). Therefore, l praise Him, “for I am fearfully and wonderfully made” (v.14a). My soul celebrates the wonders of His works.

I celebrate the AUTHOR of My Life: “How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; when I awake, I am still with You” (v.17). He has kept me going, breathing and living for more than 22,000 days – more than 500,000 hours or 30 million minutes! I am humbled by the mystery of my mind and beauty of my body. I marvel at the diverse dimensions of my temporal and eternal existence: my intellect, conscience, courage, creativity, imagination, insight, inspiration, memory, and spirituality.

At an average rate of 80 times a minute – 115,000 times in one day or 42 million times in a year – I have enjoyed close to 2,436 million unceasing heartbeats since I landed! My Maker wired my brain to function optimally to control and coordinate my mind and body. He strengthens my heart – that intricately and beautifully designed organ of wonder and power. He keeps my kidneys functioning, to maintain my body’s chemical balance. He keeps and renews my liver – the largest internal organ in my body – to defend my body’s systems. He empowers my lungs to sustain His breath in me!

Christ is My Life: “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but CHRIST LIVES IN  ME; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me” (Gal.2:20). My Creator, Maker, the Author of My Life has Himself become MY LIFE! I align with the words of Paul: “For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain” (Phil.1:21). I sing with the old saint Ralph Hudson: “My life, my love I give to Thee, Thou Lamb of God Who died for me...I’ll live for Him Who died for me, how happy then my life shall be! I’ll live for Him Who died for me, my Saviour and my God!”.” I owe everything to Jesus, for He “died that I might life.”

CHRIST is the Author and Sustainer of My Life.  Christ is Perfect Potter of My being. Christ is the Perfecter of My destiny. He has blessed me with a wonderful wife and destiny-partner, with Godly seeds, faithful friends, and beloved brethren.

CHRIST is the KING of My Life. I confess Him as my Saviour and my Lord. I have accepted Him as the King of my Life. Pilate asked the Jews, “What then do you want me to do with Him whom you call the king of the Jews?” (Mk.15:12b). They answered: “Crucify Him!” (Mk.15:13b). I give Christ Jesus His due First place in my life. I acknowledge Him in every aspect of my life and every dimension of my destiny. I have chosen what to do with the King of My Life.

  • I live for Jesus day after day.
  • I lift Him high in my life.
  • I let Him increase in my life.
  • I glory Him with all that I am and have.
  • I invest the best of my being for His Glory.
  • I follow Him wholeheartedly carrying my cross.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
