Bible Meditation:
Psalm 1: 1-6

“Blessed is the man who WALKS not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor STANDS in the path of sinners, nor SITS in the seat of the scornful” – Psalm 1:1

God has declared His Blessing on those who choose to STAND, SIT, and WALK in His Will: “Blessed is the man who WALKS not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor STANDS in the path of sinners, nor SITS in the seat of the scornful” (Psa.1:1). The Bible uses certain postures to illustrate and reveal salient spiritual dispositions by which our destinies are defined and fulfilled, namely: sitting, standing, walking, running, and soaring. Wisdom demands that we understand each of these, and know the appropriate posture for different times and seasons of life. However, all of these must be preceded by KNEELING – by Prayer. Ultimately, nothing goes far without Prayers! We’ll therefore meditate today on Kneeling, Standing, and Sitting in Destiny.

Kneeling represents Prayer, Worship, and Divine Connection. Destinies rise or fall on Prayer: “O come, let us worship and bow down: let us KNEEL before the LORD our maker” (Psa.95:6). Paul knew the power of the Knee: “For this cause I bow my KNEES unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ” (Eph.3:14). Solomon knelt his way into Favour: “And so it was, when Solomon had finished praying all this prayer and supplication to the LORD, that he arose from before the altar of the LORD, from KNEELING on his knees with his hands spread up to heaven” (1Kgs.8:54). Daniel knelt his way into Dominion: “Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he KNELT down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days (Dan.6:10). Jesus modelled kneeling: “And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He KNELT down and prayed” (Lk.22:41).

Sitting signifies Meditation, Study, Planning, and Dominion. We sit to search for secrets, direction and instructions; and to calmly receive nourishment for life. The Lord said: “For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not SIT DOWN FIRST and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish itlest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish’? (Lk.14:28-30). David proclaimed: “The LORD said to my Lord, “SIT at My right hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool? (Psa.110:1; Mt.22:44). The Lord is right now sitting in Dominion: “Hereafter shall the Son of man SIT on the right hand of the power of God (Lk.22:69). We are to sit with Him in dominion, not with the scornful, scoffers and mockers (Psa.1:1).

Standing speaks of Grace, Faith, Liberty, Integrity, Vigilance, Victory, and Triumph. We stand in Grace: through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God (Rom.5:2). We stand by Faith: “Watch, STAND fast in the faith, be brave, be strong” (1Cor.16:13). We stand in Liberty: “STAND fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage” (Gal.5:1). We stand to withstand and obtain the Victory: “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to STAND against the wiles of the devilTherefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand (Eph.6:11,13). We stand in Triumph: “They have bowed down and fallen; but we have risen and stand upright” (Psa.20:8). We stand in Distinction: Do you see a man who excels in his work? He will stand before kings; He will not stand before unknown men” (Pro.22:29).

I shall not sit in the seat of the scornful, stand in the path of sinners or walk in the counsel of the ungodly. Rather, I choose to KNEEL in Prayer, SIT in Dominion, and STAND in Victory, under the Fullness of Divine blessings!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
