LIGHT OF DIVINE SECRETS (1)

“He reveals deep and SECRET THINGS; He knows what is in the darkness, and LIGHT dwells with Him” – Daniel 2:22

Praise God! This Ninth Month of our Year of Divine Light and Life is the Month of the LIGHT of DIVINE SECRETS: “Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, for wisdom and might are His. And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding. He reveals deep and SECRET THINGS; He knows what is in the darkness, and LIGHT dwells with Him” (Dan.2: 20b-22). God is the Source of Life-enriching Secrets, by which He opens up the depths, sees in the dark, dispels darkness, dissolves doubt, infuses faith, revolves life’s puzzles, and unveils Kingdom mysteries.

God alone knows everything – in the heavens, on and underneath the earth, and in all hearts! Humanity knows only in part, a minute portion of all that can be known: “The secret things belong to the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law” (Deut. 29:29). God is the Custodian of all knowledge, wisdom, understanding, or insight that can be termed secret. Only what He reveals belongs to us and our generations.  

Yet, our Fulfilment in destiny is a function of Access to God’s Secrets, based on His Mercies: “Then Daniel went to his house, and made the thing known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions: That they would desire MERCIES of the God of heaven concerning THIS SECRET…” (vv.17-18a). By the Fear of God, they trusted in His Secret-revealing Mercies: “The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, and He will show them His covenant” (Psa.25:14); “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction” (Pro.1:7). Access to divine secrets is the platform for the rising of Stars in God’s Kingdom.

Daniel and company were distinguished in Babylon: “Then was the SECRET revealed to Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven” (v.19). The captive became a Captain in a foreign land to the extent, even the king kowtowed: “Then the king Nebuchadnezzar fell upon his face, and worshipped Daniel, and commanded that they should offer an oblation and sweet odours to him” (Dan.2:46). Divine Secrets are treasured assets that can lift a pauper to prominence and a destitute to distinction. 

The Light of Divine Secrets guarantees Dominion in Life and Distinction in Destiny! But there is a place to actively search and ask: “It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings is to SEARCH out a matter” (Pro.25:2); “CALL to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know” (Jer.33:3). One divine secret can turn a nonentity into an eternal celebrity overnight!
