Bible Meditation:
2 Corinthians 4: 1-10

For it is the God who commanded LIGHT to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the LIGHT of the KNOWLEDGE of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ2 Corinthians 4:6

It takes the LIGHT of KNOWLEDGE to overrule the darkness of deception, blindness, and ignorance: For it is the God who commanded LIGHT to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the LIGHT of the KNOWLEDGE of the GLORY of GOD in the face of Jesus Christ” (2 Cor. 4:6). There are different kinds of knowledge: intellectual, scientific or sense-knowledge; divine, heart or revelation knowledge; and demonic, occult or satanic knowledge. Intellectual knowledge is useful but limited; it enables human problems to be solved in certain contexts, such as in handling biological, technological and other societal problems. Satanic knowledge is evil, dark, vain, and destructive, and should never be desired, however appealing.

What we need above all else is Revelation Knowledge that comes from God: about Himself, humanity, creation, the world, eternity, and all things. Perfect Knowledge belongs only to God (Job 37:16). It is sourced from His Word and authenticated by His Spirit. Originally in Eden, knowledge was to be freely and fully available for humanity: “the tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the KNOWLEDGE of good and evil” (Gen.2:9). Satan however deceived the first couple to pursue false, counterfeit knowledge in order to become wise (Gen.3:5-6). Tragically, they fell into the dark pit of sin, fear, nakedness, shame, pain, and separation from God’s Presence (Gen.3:7-11, 16-19, 23-24). Knowledge is therefore direly needed as a consequence of the Fall, to help fix negative situations and broken people and secure us from life’s adversities.

Only God is perfect in Knowledge, from which abundance He shares with us (Job 37:16).

Knowledge is Light; ignorance is darkness. The Light of knowledge exposes whatever darkness tries to conceal (Eph.5: 13). Knowledge saves and secures; ignorance destroys.

Knowledge is Life: It makes the difference between life and death. Job 36:12b says, “they shall die without knowledge.” Proverbs 19:2 says “it is not good for a soul to be without knowledge.” Lack of knowledge attracts destruction (Hos.4:6).

Knowledge brings Freedom and Liberty: “you shall KNOW the TRUTH, and the truth shall make you free” (Jh.8:32). It is not just the truth, but the truth you KNOW that makes you free. And God’s Word is Truth (Jh.17:17). Knowledge is the Key to Liberty! Lack of knowledge is easy access into captivity: Therefore my people have gone into CAPTIVITY, because they have NO KNOWLEDGE; and their honorable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst” (Isa.5:13).

Knowledge is Power in its acquisition and application: “God's divine POWER has granted all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the KNOWLEDGE of Him who called us to His own glory and excellence” (2Pet.1:3 ESV). This means that all the power available from God to live godly comes through the knowledge of Him! We must place premium on knowledge, because life and godliness are at stake! No knowledge; no power!

Knowledge of God is our source of Strength for Great Exploits:the people who KNOW their God shall be strong, and carry out GREAT EXPLOITS” (Dan.11:32b). Divine breakthroughs are functions of Knowledge: “By His Knowledge the depths were broken up, and clouds drop down the dew” (Pro.3:20). However strong he is, the wise never ceases to seek knowledge: “A wise man is strong, Yes, a man of knowledge increases strength” (Pro.24:5).

Knowledge is precious: “…the lips of knowledge are a precious jewel” (Pro.20:15b). Knowledge is a precious treasure: “Wise men store up knowledge, but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction” (Pro.10:14). “Every prudent man acts with knowledge, but a fool lays open his folly” (Pro.13:16). Knowledge is worth pursuing: “The heart of the prudent acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge” (Pro.18:15).

Knowledge provides Stability: WISDOM and KNOWLEDGE will be the STABILITY of your times…” (Isa.33:6). Knowledge and Wisdom are like Siamese twins! And as the Lord wills, the Light of Wisdom is our next port of call!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
