THE LIGHT OF WISDOM (4)

“Let the WORD of CHRIST dwell in you richly in ALL WISDOM…” – Colossians 3:16a

To be filled with the Word of Christ is to embrace the LIGHT of WISDOM: “Let the WORD of CHRIST dwell in you richly in ALL WISDOM…” (Col.3:16a). Wisdom – the inspired application of accurate knowledge of God’s Word – is crucial for the Winning Life – supernatural, victorious life on earth. No matter the experiences or intellectual knowledge possessed, without the Word of Christ, there is no Wisdom of God. A life that’s immersed in God’s Word, becomes an expression of His Wisdom. When the Word of God is released, His Light of Wisdom is displayed.

Acting on the Word activates the supernatural. Believers must learn to act on the Word, even if the instruction makes little or no sense. The miraculous often follows the ridiculous! God’s command for Moses to lift up his rod and divide the Red Sea sounded ridiculous (Exo.14:16). However, he obeyed and the miracle happened. The ridiculous birthed the miraculous through the Instrumentality of God’s Word!

God’s Word is the mine-field for Heavenly Wisdom. Divine Know-hows and the How-Tos of God are contacted by revelation not calculation. Intellectual knowledge, academic expertise, practical skills, and experiences, are of much value, but without God’s Word, Wisdom is missing. All that one has would be the carnal, sensual, limited human wisdom: “However, we SPEAK WISDOM among those who are mature yet not the WISDOM of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing” (1Cor.2:6). Wisdom is transacted via the Spoken Word! God’s Word makes wise. The Holy Scriptures made Timothy wise for salvation through faith in Christ (2Tim.3:15).

God’s Word can make us wise for deliverance, healing, parenting, prosperity, business, ministry, or leadership. Wisdom means to know from God’s Word, the scriptural things to do, steps to take, and ways to go on any matter in life. It involves knowing HOW TO handle situations to produce desired outcomes. It is the supernatural ability to bring solutions to dark matters too difficult for the mind. Rather than flounder in confusion or carnal speculation, we can humbly recognize our lack, look up to the Lord, ask and receive Wisdom through His Word (Jam.1:5).

God’s Wisdom empowers and propels us to always speak and act rightly: “And whatever you DO in WORD or DEED, DO ALL in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him” (v.17). When we ask and believe, God grants us access into ALL WISDOM – Wisdom for every Dimension of Life and Destiny – so that what we SAY and DO will glorify Him. His Wisdom is demonstrated through our Words and Actions. By His Wisdom released through His Word and functioning in us, we excel in good judgement, have the right ideas, and make the right decisions. We’re prompted to always say and do the right thing, at the right time, for the right purpose, and for God’s Glory!
