He has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of His love – Colossians 1:13
Dominion refers to the authority, right, or power to possess, govern, or control a domain. At the beginning, humanity exercised dominion over all works of creation, until sin interjected. It was never part of God’s plan that nature and other works of creation should rule over man, being the crown of His creation. The new mandate of dominion is part of the redemptive rights restored to us by Christ Jesus when we become born again (2Cor.5:17). Through redemption by His Blood the Lord has restored to us the dominion that was ‘sold’ to Satan – in multiple dimensions. Today, we meditate on three key dimensions of our restored dominion: dominion over the law, over the devil, and over death!
Dominion over the Law: “But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter” (Rom 7: 6). This is referring to the law of sin and death (Rom. 8:2). Through Christ’s finished work on Calvary and His resurrection from the dead, the power of Grace has delivered us from the bondage of the Law: “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit” (Rom.8:1). We are no longer subject to the drives and dictates of the flesh – the fallen human nature. Now, by grace you and I can say “No” to sin and choose to walk in newness of the Spirit!
Dominion over the Devil and all that he represents: total dominion over sickness, poverty, oppression, depression, and all works of the devil (Col. 1: 13- 19). The ultimate counsel of God and the reason Jesus brought the restoration is to achieve His overarching and eternal will (Eph. 2:1-7). God expects us to walk in victory and to exercise power and authority over the rest of creation, in spite of Satan’s manoeuvres. He has freely given all these things to us and crowned us with glory and honour (Psa.8:5-6). As a believer in Christ, you are empowered “to trample on serpents and scorpions and OVER all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you” (Lk.10:19).
Dominion over death: “Knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him” (Rom. 6:9). Death is already defeated. Hebrews 2:14-15 puts it most strikingly: “Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.” Beloved, Jesus has decreed your release. Break loose from the fear of death. Walk in the liberty of life. Begin to enjoy your rights in Christ. Begin to exercise multi-dimensional dominion in the name of Jesus.

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
