Bible Meditation:
Philippians 2: 1-11

Let this MIND be in you which was also in Christ Jesus Philippians 2:5

The ORDERED MIND of CHRIST is a divine Asset that’s available to every Believer: “Let this MIND be in you which was also in Christ Jesus” (Phil.2:5). This same precious asset is referred to as: “the mind of Christ,” “the mind of the LORD”, “the mind of the Spirit” and the “spirit of the mind”! Let’s meditate on each of these:

“Who has known the MIND of the LORD that he may instruct Him?” But we have the MIND of CHRIST” (1Cor.2:16). The believer potentially has the Mind of Christ and is therefore able to access, comprehend, and communicate the Mind of the LORD. The natural or carnal man is utterly limited in this wise: “But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned” (1Cor.2:14). When a fleshly or carnal person reads the Bible, it will rarely make sense, because spiritual realities are spiritually discerned. But the moment such a person truly finds Christ and receives Christ’s Spirit and Mind, there will be thorough access into the Word!

“Now He who searches the hearts knows what the MIND OF THE SPIRIT is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God” (Rom.8:27). The Spirit of Christ that resides in us has the Mind of Christ. That’s why prayer in the Spirit will never contradict God’s will. Christ’s Spirit residing in us has a “Mind” and it takes knowing what is the “mind of the Spirit” to make effective intercession according God’s Will; such that “all things work together for good” (Rom.8:28).

“And be renewed in the spirit of your MIND” (Eph.4:23). One major characteristic of the Mind of Christ is Divine Order. There is absolutely no confusion in His Mind. Everything about His Mind is in orderly alignment with the Father’s Perfect Will, hence the admonition that the Believer “be transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Rom.12:2a): Through such divine transformation, the Mind of the Spirit directs our thoughts, walk, and life to reflect Christ’s precepts and practices. The Mind of the Spirit ensures that our total being experiences maturity into Christ’s stature and provides stability against confusion and deception: “that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting” (Eph.4:13).

Christlikeness is the Divine Standard of alignment and attainment for every Christian experience. As our mind, intellect, and emotions come under the control of the “Mind of the Spirit” our walk in the Spirit becomes real and profitable. The devil tries to vehemently oppose the establishment of God’s Order in our minds by trying to bombard us with thought projections from evil spirits. It is up to us to me to yield and submit either to the Holy Spirit or to demonic thoughts and influences. But we have a ready advantage that the Holy Spirit dwells in us, while evil spirits can only put pressure from the outside. Even if such demonic entities have laid hold on any part of the Believer’s personality, they have been cast out in the Name of Jesus!

The un-regenerated soul is always unsettled as they seek to fulfil “the desires of the flesh and of the mind…” (Eph.2:3a). Also, the un-renewed mind of the immature or backsliding believer has a constant warring going on in the spirit of the mind (Rom.7:23). This internal battle for supremacy of the soul is between opposing agents which are warring against our emotions, choices, mentality, and conscience; against our thinking, feelings, and volition; and against godly norms and standards. We can either operate by the internal leading of God’s Spirit or submit to the external pressures which battle for supremacy in our minds. As believers and new creations, we have received the ORDERED MIND of Christ that is free to choose to walk after the Spirit into fullness of Life (Rom.8:4-5). That’s the mind that glorifies the exalted Christ (Phil.2: 9-11).

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
