“For ALL THE PROMISES of GOD IN HIM ARE YES, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us” – 2 Corinthians 1:20
Good bye June. Welcome JULY! This is our Month of PERFECTION OF DIVINE PROMISES: “For ALL THE PROMISES of GOD IN HIM ARE YES, and in Him AMEN, to the glory of God through us” (1Cor.1:20). First, let us give immense thanks to the LORD GOD Almighty, Who has in His Mercy and by His Grace, kept us safe, alive and well through the tough, trying and tortuous first half of the year 2020. In the midst of the pervading pandemic, the Lord has enabled us to dwell in His Secret Place and abide under His Almighty Shadow – HIS Divine QUARANTINE. He has been our Refuge and Fortress (Psa.91:1). The Holy One of Israel has kept us refreshed with divine resources from His mysterious “hollow place” (Jdg. 15:19). We have been upheld by “the Everlasting God” through His “Everlasting Arms” (Gen.21:33; Deut.33:27; Isa.40:28; Rom.16:26).
As we remain sensitive to the instructions in God’s Word, the leading of His Spirit, and promptings of His Prophetic Word, we shall continue to operate in Divine Accuracy and Prophetic Precision. Being in the very Centre of His Will is the platform on which ALL the PROMISES of GOD shall prove to be YES and AMEN in Christ! The New International Version says: “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God” (2Cor.1:20). God is true; therefore every promise of His is true; and consequently each must have its due fulfilment. God is not limited to using trifling, worldly persons as the instruments by which to fulfil His promises. All the promises which God has made to humankind are absolutely true, and faithfully fulfilled to those who believe in Christ Jesus!
Whereas, we are often let down by those we trusted with our most intimate secrets and most desperate needs, God never breaks a promise. When we ask someone to help or hold something dear, and they do not keep their promise, a deep crack is created in our trust. We are likely not to trust someone again if all they do is continually disappoint. The believers in Paul’s day lived in a world of broken promises: unfaithful partners, false friends, double-dealing merchants, and corrupt politicians ruling the day. The words of leaders had to be taken with a grain of salt, and Christians were often the most vulnerable in society. In helping the believers find hope, Paul reminded the church that every promise of God is “Yes” and “Amen”! With God, there are no let-downs or failures. Every promise that He has made in His Word can be trusted to come true.
The Gift of Jesus is the Guarantee for all of God’s Promises! Because the greatest promise God ever made has come true, no other promise can ever fail: “He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” (Rom.8:32). After Adam and Eve fell to the serpent’s temptation, God promised that a Saviour would come to destroy sin and death forever. Thousands of years later, a baby was born in a manger in Bethlehem who would become the conquering King. With Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection, God kept His greatest promise. His promises are ever true and final. They may not always appear as we would prefer or hope, but they are faithful nonetheless. We can trust our Father-God with our darkest secrets and deepest desires because He cares, He knows, and He is True.
Beloved, beginning this new month into the next few months, we shall be meditating daily on God’s various, numerous, and “exceedingly great and precious promises” (2Pet.1:4). As we do this, we shall come to truly know that “God is faithful” and become living proofs of His Unfailing Promises. Every promise in Christ is YES and AMEN, “to the glory of God through us”!

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
