“The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him, and He will SHOW them HIS COVENANT” – Psalm 25:14
Good bye July. Welcome AUGUST – our Month of PERFECTION OF GOD’S COVENANTS: “The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him, and He will SHOW them HIS COVENANT” (Psa.25:14). The month of July marked our entry into a Season of Perfection of Divine Promises. By God’s grace, going forward, we’ll continue to meditate on His “exceedingly great and precious promises” (2Pet.1:4). But our emphasis shall be on His Covenants. The promises of God are numerous, but the Bible gives prominence to certain clearly established covenants, among the almost unlimited array of promises. For these to be seamlessly perfected in our lives, clear revelation and understanding are vital, which are our goals this month!
A covenant is a mutual agreement or contract between two or more parties, which binds them to fulfil certain obligations and obtain certain rights or privileges. In human dealings, such an agreement usually involves a legal document or instrument containing details of the contractual relationship. GOD makes and keeps covenants. He has bound Himself by a written Covenant – His Word. Biblically, the term ‘covenant’ describes the relationship between God and His people. The God of Covenants chose to relate with His people by means of mutual agreements. The Bible is a book of two main covenants: the Old Covenant and the New Covenant, within which there are many other specific, practical, life-applicable covenants.
We’ve waded through seven tough months in the year 2020, but kept alive, safe and secure, dwelling in God’s Secret Place, abiding under His Shadow, and enjoying His Grace and Mercy. God’s promises and covenants are sure and true! He never breaks a covenant. He stands peerless against the background of our world of failed promises, unfaithful partners, fake friends, fraudulent merchants, crooked clergy, milking ministers, twisted teachers, polluting prophets, and evil leaders. With God, there are no let-downs or failures. Every covenant He strikes and every promise He makes can be trusted to come through and true. His Covenant Son, Jesus, guarantees the perfection of every other covenant in Him (Rom.8:32).
The covenants revealed in Scripture are several, covering the spectrum of human existence – spirit, soul, and body. These include, but are not limited to, the covenants of: salvation, redemption, healing, health, comfort, restoration, provisions, favour, prosperity, progress, promotion, direction, defence, protection, safety, security, peace, joy, enlargement, fruitfulness, increase, multiplication, marriage, success, distinction, excellence, greatness, abundance, wisdom, wealth, royalty, power, dominion, victory, impact, revival, life, and longevity. By God’s Grace, we shall encounter each of these shortly, as He shows us His ways, teaches us His paths, leads us in His truth, and reveals to us His secrets and His covenants (vv.4-5,14).
Last month, we meditated on what it means to know, believe, pray, stand on, and cling to God’s promises. The promises of our Faithful and Able God are exceedingly great and precious, good and positive, unfailing, and uniquely packaged for His people. The same virtues apply to His covenants. We specifically examined the promises of God’s Presence and Nearness, and most extensively, His Promises of Protection. We can hardly ever exhaust the revelation of God’s promises. I pray in the Name of Jesus, that the rest of this new month, we shall receive Fresh Grace and Unction of the Holy Spirit, to tap into the revelation of God’s Covenants, and be properly positioned in Him, to see their perfection manifesting in all areas of our lives.

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
