POWER OF FAITH FOR IMPACT (2)

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him...” – Hebrews 11:6a

The Word of God, the Name of Jesus, and His Blood are three pillars of the POWER of FAITH for IMPACT: “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (Heb.11:6). Faith is fundamental: “Now, faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (v.1). Faith in God’s Word, in the Name, and in the Blood of Jesus, are interconnected and crucial for Impact and Victory.

The Bible, God’s Word, is the indisputable Source of Truth and Guidance. Faith in the Word involves believing that God is faithful and His promises are trustworthy. His blessings flow by faith and by speaking the Word. God has given us a Word for anything we may need or desire in life. If we meditate on His Word, say and do what it says, then He will do for us what He promised. God’s Word never returns to Him void, and He is not a man that He should lie. Also, His Word says, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Rom.10:17). It doesn’t say, “Faith comes by having heard the Word.”

The Name of Jesus holds Power and Authority. The Bible says, “that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth…” (Phi 2:10). We must have faith in the Name of Jesus. In Acts 3:12 and 16, Peter said to the people who had witnessed the lame man being healed, “Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk? ... And His name, through faith in His name has made this man strong.” Faith in His Name of Jesus that brings results. It is the foundation for prayer and receiving blessings.

The Blood of Jesus is the Believer’s symbol of the Saviour’s sacrifice and atonement for sin. We must have faith in the Blood of Jesus. When the children of Israel had to put the blood from a sacrificial lamb on the doorpost and then the death angel passed over. Faith in His Blood signifies the Power to overcome sin and evil. This dimension of the Power of Faith implies that we are forgiven and cleansed through His sacrifice, and it provides a foundation for spiritual victory and the overcoming life.

By having faith in the Word of God, the Name of Jesus, and the Blood of Jesus, Believers are empowered to make positive and enduring impact in the world.
