POWER FOR PERFORMANCE (2)

“IN YOUR HAND is POWER and might; in Your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all” – 1 Chronicles 29:12b

GOD alone possesses the Sovereignty of Ownership of Divine POWER for PERFORMANCE: “Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power and the glory, the victory and the majesty; for all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and You are exalted as head over all. Both riches and honor come from You, and You reign over all. IN YOUR HAND is POWER and might; in Your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all” (1 Chr.29:11-12). In today’s meditation passage, King David stood before the assembly at the end of his life. He wasn’t boasting about his military conquests or his wealth; instead, he was redirecting the spotlight to the Source of his success. He acknowledged that everything he achieved – every “performance” of his reign – was fuelled by a Power that wasn't his own.

Divine Performance begins with realizing that God owns the stage, the actors, and the script. When we acknowledge His Greatness, we tap into an infinite resource: “Yours, O Lord, is the greatness..." (v.11a). David identified that high performance and “making it great” aren't merely products of luck or grit. It is a divine enablement that lifts a person from the sheepfold to the palace. He is the Source of promotion: “In your hands are strength and power to exalt..." (v.12). Humility is however the platform for Divine Lifting: “Who am I... that we should be able to give as generously as this?" (v.14). Power for Performance is given so we can fulfill God’s Purposes, not just our own appetites.

Beloved, it’s time to audit our Source. Rather than rely solely on our intellect or connections, we should ask God for the "Spirit of Might" to handle assignments and tasks that seem beyond our current capacity. We must also sustain a “leased” mindset that treats our talents and successes as “loan” from God. This prevents pride and keeps the channel of divine Grace open. Ultimately, we are meant to perform for an Audience of One. Like David, our primary goal must be the “Glory of His Name.” When our motive is right, the Power is released!

Please join me in prophetically affirming, in Jesus’ Name, that:

I am empowered by the Greatness of God for extraordinary results. His Hand is exalting me in career, ministry, and in all aspects of life.

I do not struggle for strength, but receive Divine Might for every task. I have access to infinite resources of riches, honour, and greatness.

I am moving from glory to glory by the Power of the Holy Spirit. Every limitation on my performance is broken by Divine Favour.

I have the wisdom to manage my God-given wealth and influence. I am a steward of excellence, reflecting God’s Character in my work.

I am lifted and strengthened above my peers by the hand of the Almighty. God’s Power is perfecting everything that concerns me.
