Bible Meditation:
Isaiah 43: 1-7

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you” – Isaiah 43:2a

The PROMISES of DIVINE PRESENCE are consistent throughout Scriptures: “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you” (Isa.43:2). Believers are never alone in life’s challenges and struggles. God does not promise that we will avoid trials: “floods” and “fire” are inevitable. What He promises is to be present with us inside them. The waters symbolize crushing, chaotic circumstances, while fire represents severe, purifying, or painful trials. These will not destroy or consume us because God’s Presence acts as protector and refiner.

In Exodus 33:12-16, Moses pleaded for God's Presence, insisting that success is meaningless and progress unsustainable without it. God responded: "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest". God's Presence is not just for comfort; it is the source of divine Favour, Guidance, and Distinction. His Presence distinguishes His people from the world, offering “rest” – peace that surpasses understanding.

The Lord assured Joshua of His Presence, as he prepared to step into the shoes of Moses: “No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Jos.1:5). This was a promise of continuity. The same God who performed miracles through Moses was present to empower Joshua, ensuring that no insurmountable obstacle. This was a promise of Permanent Presence, combating the fear of facing a new, uncertain future.

God’s Presence is guaranteed for every Believer in Christ: "...And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age" (Mt..28:20). Jesus, the "Immanuel" (God with us) extends this promise to all believers. It is a pledge of His companionship through the Holy Spirit at every moment, in every situation, and to fulfill the Great Commission. Based on these scriptures, let us declare the following over our lives:

I will not be consumed by life’s fires, for the Lord is with me. Every obstructive "river" trying to sweep me away is silenced and stopped.

God’s Presence goes before me, making every crooked path straight and every valley low. I am marked for distinction, to stand out from the crowd.

I am not forgotten or abandoned; the Lord will never leave me nor forsake me. His "rest" – peace in the midst of the storm – is my portion.

No man, power, or weapon shall be able to stand against me all the days of my life. I am valuable in God's sight, and He is with me.

I will walk through life’s challenges and come out refined, not destroyed. The "yesterday" of fear is over, and I am stepping into a "today" of Divine Presence and Victory.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
