PROMISES OF HEALTH AND HEALING

“Behold, I will bring it HEALTH and HEALING; I will heal them and reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth” – Jeremiah 33:6

The Holy Scriptures are loaded with God’s PROMISES of HEALTH and HEALING: “Behold, I will bring it HEALTH and HEALING; I will heal them and reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth” (Jer.33:6). This is a Divine Promise of Restoration, focusing on God as the Healer of broken bodies and broken nations. The promise came while Jeremiah was imprisoned, and Jerusalem was under siege, facing destruction due to sin. “Behold” signals God's Grace – despite the deserved judgment, He promised mercy and restoration. The healing promised was not just physical; but also, spiritual and emotional – comprehensive! Destruction was reversed, as God granted “health and healing” for the broken city, and removed spiritual defilement (v.8).

In His comprehensive package, God promised abundant Peace and Security: The Hebrew word Shalom, implies not just absence of war, but total well-being, prosperity, and stability. He promised to replace the sounds of wailing with songs of thanksgiving and joy, making the once-desolate city a place of renewed praise: “...Again there shall be heard in this place – of which you say, “It is desolate, without man and without beast ... the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who will say: “Praise the Lord of hosts, for the Lord is good, for His mercy endures forever...” (vv.10-11).

Other scriptural Promises of Health and Healing include:

Exodus 15:26b – “...I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians, For I am the Lord who heals you."

Jeremiah 30:17a – “For I will restore HEALTH to you and HEAL you of your wounds…”

Psalm 103:3-4a – “Who forgives all your iniquities, WHO HEALS ALL your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction...."

1 Peter 2:24 – “Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness – by whose stripes YOU WERE HEALED.”

3 John 1:2 – “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and BE in HEALTH, just as your soul prospers." 

Beloved, let’s make these Prophetic Declarations of Health and Healing, in Jesus’ Name:

I receive divine health and healing over my spirit, mind, and body. I am made whole, and I refuse to accept the spirit of fear and infirmity.

By the stripes of Jesus, I have been healed from the crown of my head to the soles of my feet. My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit; and there is no vacancy for sickness.

By the covenant of abundance of peace and security, every “wasteland” – of finances, health, relationships – around me, is reconstructed for total restoration.

I silence every voice of sorrow and fear with the Voice of Praise. I am a living testimony of God's restoration and healing power!
