THE RACE SET BEFORE YOU

Bible Meditation:
Hebrews 12: 1-29

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us RUN with patience THE RACE that is set before us,
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12: 1-2

There is a race set before you. It is not optional. It is a race that you must run, and run to obtain, but it will take grace to run your life’s race successfully. I prophesy into your life: You will not run in vain. Your will neither falter nor fall. Your feet will not slide into defeat. You will not derail from course.

Life is a RACE, both in TIME and ETERNITY.

You must run the race that is set before you:

 Perfectly (fully) – spirit, soul, and body:
With all your heart, mind and strength (3John 2; 1Thessalonians 5:23);

 Purposefully and pointedly:
With vision, focus and purpose: “I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:” (1 Corinthians 9:26).

 Passionately:
And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God (Luke 9:62).
But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost. For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries (1 Corinthians 16:8-9).

 Patiently and Persistently:
That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises (Hebrews 6:12).
Elisha followed persistently until he received the double portion from Elijah (2Kings 2: 1-10).

Prayer:
Lord, grant me grace to run life’s race purposefully, passionately, patiently, persistently, and perfectly in Jesus name.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
