Bible Meditation:
Isaiah 32: 1-20

And the work of righteousness shall be peace... – Isaiah 32:17

Perfect Peace is rooted in three fundamentals:

  • The Name of the Lord
  • The Word of God
  • Righteousness.

Yesterday, we meditated on the first two roots: God’s Name and His Word. The third root of peace is Righteousness!

Righteousness derives from our Relationship with God.

The LORD will give strength unto His people; the LORD will bless His people with peace(Psalm 29:11).

God’s people are partakers of His peace! Peace is a product of our covenant relationship with the Lord. Intimacy with God guarantees partnership with peace:

Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace (Psalm 37:37).

And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever (Isaiah 32:17).

O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! Then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea: (Isaiah 48:18).

Psalm 119:165 declares: Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them”. Great peace derives from deep love for God’s Word. Without a right standing with God, peace is an illusion! The paths of righteousness lead to the way of peace!

That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear, In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life… To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace (Luke 1: 74-75, 79).

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
