Bible Meditation:
John 14: 12-31

PEACE I leave with you, MY PEACE I give to you: not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled…” – John 14:27a

The Believer is guaranteed SUPERNATURAL SUPPLY of PEACE, irrespective of circumstances or situations: “PEACE I leave with you, MY PEACE I give to you: not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid (Jh.14:27).  Our Lord Jesus says, These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have PEACE. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (Jh.16:33). In Him, we know that no matter what happens in this life, it’s not “the end of the world” – because this world isn’t the end!

No matter what happens in the world or in our individual lives, there is a place to turn for peace, serenity, and stability. We can look toward the future with hope, regardless of life's and the world's circumstances, as we see the Lord as our constant. The world around us is ever-changing, but God does not change. He is constant, steady, and reliable. He says, "Is there a God besides Me? Indeed there is no other Rock; I know not one” (Isa.44:8b); “For I am the LORD, I do not change” (Mal.3:6a). God is always there. He can be counted on. He is “the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Heb.13:8). And He can make Himself known, giving us a peace of mind through Him, setting our hearts securely at rest.

Life can be a battle, especially in the times we live in. But at those moments when the heat is on, there is no better person to reach out to than the Lord, because He is the constant. He is there and actually wants to be involved in our lives. He says, "I, even I, am the Lord; and besides Me there is no savior” (Isa.43:11); “Look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other” (Isa.45:22). Yes, some people can relate to God as a "crutch," but He is the only truly legitimate one. God wants us to turn to Him even when things seem to be going well. Lack of peace is the absence of God. With God as Lord and Partner, there is nothing that we cannot handle (Jh.14:12). In Him alone is our completeness!

With God involved in our lives, we can rest easy. As we get to know Him more intimately and listen to what He says in His Word, He ensures our peace of mind. Those who truly know God have His peace. We are aware of His faithfulness and ability to take care of us. So no matter what the future holds, we can place our hope in God as our constant. He's waiting to prove Himself in our lives if we will turn to Him and seek Him. Every person is building upon something. Each of us has a foundation, something we're putting our hope and faith in. God is the only One that can guarantee life’s firm foundation.

God is the Rock to build on. It is shaky ground to put our hope and faith in ourselves, other people, or anything the world offers. Instead, we must trust in Him. He says, “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall” (Mt.7:24-27).

No matter what happens in the world around, there is peace of mind knowing that God is there for you. Regardless of what the future holds, He remains your constant.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
