TRANSFORMING POWER OF GRACE

But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me – 1 Corinthians 15:10

• Grace is God’s DIVINE ENABLEMENT freely made available to humankind.

He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? (Romans 8:32).

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, (Ephesians 3:20).

• Grace comes to cover up for our limitations and insufficiency. Grace is the DIVINE INPUT that makes up for our human shortcomings or weaknesses.

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me (2 Corinthians 12:9).

• Grace is supernatural ENHANCEMENT of a gift or talent. Grace complemented and enhanced the beauty of Esther (Esther 4:15-17; 5:1-3).

• “Grace” is “charis” (in Greek) meaning “beauty.” Charis makes your gift beautiful, attractive, and outstanding (“Charisma”). Charisma is the spiritual endowment such as a good voice, ability to play an instrument, ability to write, preach, teach, or compose. A bird gliding through the air, an orator expounding his ideas powerfully, or a singer singing to enrapture; all of these are apt representations of charisma!

Charis makes your gift beautiful, attractive, outstanding, marketable, and applaudable.

 Grace turns the common into the commendable. 1Corinthians 15:10 speaks of the transforming power of grace…
