The God of my rock; IN HIM I WILL TRUST: He is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; You save me from violence – 2 Samuel 22:3
“Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your habitation” (Psa.91:9). Still pondering on this ninth verse in the light of the preceding verses, we see that the “condition” for our protection is to Trust in God. In verse 2, the Psalmist had said, “He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him I will trust”! Make God’s secret place your trusted place – your dwelling place. Cherish and place value on Him above anyone or anything else, as your habitation. If there is something your life needs dearly in this perilous times, it is safety from evil and protection from the pervading darkness in the world. Sure safety is not found in any place other than Christ Jesus – the “Author and Finisher of our faith” (Heb.12:2).
The key prerequisite to dwelling in God’s secret place is TRUST. You must trust Him completely, as if nothing bothers you. In the midst of the pressures, intimidation, and frustration of the world, you will remain unmoved and unperturbed, knowing that God is fully aware of your situation and can never abandon you. When you have submitted to the Lord Jesus Christ as the Captain of your Life’s ship, then all that you are and have are safe, secure, and sorrow-free. All the plans of the enemies against you shall be defeated. No matter the trials and troubles on the way, you’ll come our unscathed and on top!
As the hymn goes:
When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word, What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will, He abides with us still, And with all who will trust and obey.
(Refrain): Trust and obey, for there’s no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.
…What He says we will do, where He sends we will go; never fear, only trust and obey.
Every reasonable father honours his responsibility to his family. No true father will like to profane his name by neglecting or abandoning his family. How much more our heavenly Father! When you trust and obey Him as a child, the father, you will never be disappointed; He will never fail to fulfil His promises to you, including the promises of perfect protection and divine defence. As you continue to trust in Him, He’ll prove beyond any shadow of doubt to be your Shield of Safety, the Horn of your Salvation, your High Tower of Triumph, your Refuge of Redemption, and your Saviour from the Violence of the wicked (2Sam.22:3). Trust and obey, for there is no other way to be defended in Jesus, but to trust and obey!

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
