Colossians 1: 9-20

“In whom we have REDEMPTION through HIS BLOOD, the forgiveness of sins” Colossians 1:14

The Believer’s Victory rests on UNDERSTANDING the BLOOD of JESUS and its Power: “In whom we have REDEMPTION through HIS BLOOD, the forgiveness of sins” (Col.1:14). The blood of Jesus is the power source for our Salvation and our Freedom. Israel understood the efficacy of blood. When they needed forgiveness, mercy, and guidance, they put blood on the altar of the temple, on the mercy seat, and on the veil so they could enter into the Holy of Holies and be in God’s Presence. Now in Christ, we have the Blood of the eternal Covenant!

Beyond Forgiveness of sins, the Blood of Jesus sets free from all sin and sin’s penalties. Christ shed His sinless Blood to atone for our sins, and God was satisfied with that divine blood offering, to draw us near, “having made peace through the Blood of His cross” (v.20). His Blood melts the most callous, vengeful, and spiteful hearts, touches broken hearts, and brings hope, cleansing, healing, and deliverance.

By the Blood, we have these wonderful provisions:

We receive the remission of sins: “For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins” (Mt. 26:28).

We are completely washed of our sins: “To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood” (Rev. 1:5b).

We are justified before God: “Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him” (Rom.5:9).

We are redeemed: “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace” (Eph.1:7).

We are brought near to God: “But now in Christ Jesus you who were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ” (Eph. 2:13).

We have peace with God: “...having made peace through the blood of His cross” (Col.1:20).

We are cleansed in our consciences: “How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” (Heb.9:14).

We are made holy and set apart for God: “Therefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with His own blood...” (Heb.13:12a).

We have boldness to approach God: “Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus” (Heb.10:19).

We can have ongoing cleansing from sin: “But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ Hos Son cleanses u from all sin” (1 John 1:7).

We overcome the enemy: “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony...” (Rev.12:11).

Jesus declared on the cross, “It is finished!” (Jh.19:30). The Blood Covenant between God and man has been completed. Everything we need has been paid in full by His Blood!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
