Jeremiah 33: 1-9

“Behold, I will bring it HEALTH and HEALING; I will heal them and reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth” – Jeremiah 33:6

There is a difference between being healed and WALKING IN THE COVENANT of HEALTH: “Behold, I will bring it HEALTH and HEALING; I will heal them and reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth” (Jer.33:6). This was an Old Testament promise of a new covenant reality that transcends healing into health and abundance of peace and truth! The Mosaic Law was based on what the people had to do, before God could act. To be healthy was a blessing that they had to work hard to earn. Religion is limited in understanding the difference between the covenants of the law and of grace; it teaches people to beg and plead for God to heal them, like Jeremiah did: “Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise” (Jer. 17:14). Good prayers, but Grace calls us to higher realms.

Divine Health is part of our better covenant: But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises” (Heb.8:6). This new covenant declares healing to be an accomplished reality and assures that divine health can be our portion. God wants us to operate more in the higher realm of thanking Him for sound health than “begging” Him for healing. Under the law, sickness and disease were part of the curse. In Grace, healing has already been made available to us, as God reveals an abundance of His peace in our lives.

The cross of Christ bridged the requirements for healing. Under the old covenant, healing only occurred through the people’s regular animal sacrifices as atonement for their failure to keep the law through their own efforts. When Jesus came and ministered to the people, many neither understood nor accepted the connection between faith in Him and healing, despite witnessing miracles. When He died, Isaiah’s prophecy was fulfilled. “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed” (Isa. 53:5).

The Word says “we are healed”, not we will be healed. What’s required is for our minds to be renewed to align with the finished works of Jesus Christ to the effect that healing is available to us. The world may suggest that we accept ill-health and resign ourselves to diseases, but God’s Word clearly reveals that it is His desire for us to be healthy, as part of what Jesus died and paid for. It is His will that we experience and enjoy a healthy life. The divine mind is vividly expressed by John the apostle in his third epistle: “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and BE IN HEALTH, just as your soul prospers” (3Jh.2).  Healing is God’s will for us; nothing the world says can ever change what He has already said.

When Jesus nailed the curses of sickness and disease to the cross, He replaced them with the blessings of strength, vitality, and abundant good health (Jh.10:10b). All He requires of us is to accept those blessings by faith. The world is limited in its response to both physical and emotional health challenges, because it doesn’t understand the possibility of divine health in the covenant of grace. Even David in the Old Testament had an inkling of this and was grateful to God: “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases” (Psa.103:2-3).

Here is the picture of the Father’s Will for us: Then it shall be to Me a name of joy, a praise, and an honor before all nations of the earth, who shall hear all the good that I do to them; they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and all the prosperity that I provide for it (Jer.33:9). Our healing is waiting for us to thankfully receive. We are the healed, on every level.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
