“...For this PURPOSE the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil” – 1 John 3:8b
The next major question to reflect on is the Question of WHY – the Question of Purpose. God is a God of Purpose. We were created for His purpose and born by His purpose. It is only in God that we discover our origin, identity, meaning, purpose, significance and destiny. Meaningful Life is all about letting God use you for His purposes, not you using Him for your own. Purpose is the reason for being; the “Why” behind the existence of any person or thing. The Almighty God is the intelligent Creator of all things. He has purposes, visions, and expectations for all of His creation. Nothing exists in creation by chance. Everyone and everything that God made was made to fulfill a divine purpose.
Purpose is your reason for being. Do you realize you are a person of purpose? Have you discovered the reasons you’re your being? Have you identified your divine assignment? You are not a casualty of creation, an accident of conception, or a mistake that was made and left to be! God knew you would be born before you were conceived in your mother’s womb. He predestined you for a definite purpose. God sent you into this world for a purpose: you must discover it and pour your heart and life into it. You are on planet earth for an assignment. You must keep an appointment with your divine assignment!
Jesus is our Model of Purpose. He highlighted aspects of His minstry purpose as follows: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to preach trhe acceptable year of the Lord” (Lk. 4:18). Again, He declared, “...I have come that they may have life, and that may have it more abundantly” (Jh.10:10b). Jesus replied Pilate, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice” (jh.18:37). John the beloved further revealed: “...For this PURPOSE the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil” (1Jh.3:8).
Asking the Big WHY Question may raise related questions such as these:
Your purpose in life must undergird your mission and vocations. It is that concrete assignment that demands fulfilment; that assignment for which you cannot be replaced or your role replicated exactly. Your purpose bears your unique signature! It is that which, if removed from your life’s account will leave it on debit; that which if deleted from your life’s story will make it incomplete. The unveiling of Life’s Purpose is what is called Divine Vision. May the Lord unveil His Purpose for your life and empower you to fully accomplish it, in Jesus name!

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
