“Then I said, “Behold, I come; in the scroll of the book it is written of me. I delight to do YOUR WILL, O my God, and YOUR LAW is within my heart” – Psalm 40: 7-8
Our meditations for this outgoing month can be summed up as WISDOM for DIGNIFIED DESTINIES: “Then I said, “Behold, I come; in the scroll of the book it is written of me. I delight to do YOUR WILL, O my God, and YOUR LAW is within my heart” (Psa.40: 7-8). Something unique has been written about me in God’s Book even before I was conceived. That’s my Destiny! God has a destined plan for each of His children. He said to Jeremiah, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations” (Jer.1:5). That we seem to have been forgotten in a horrible pit or miry clay doesn’t preclude the existence of a Divine Destiny (vv.1-2a). God will lift us into Dignity (vv.2-3).
Destiny refers to Life’s Path – the Pathway of Purpose in Life. Purpose is the reason for being. Destiny is the pathway to fulfilling life’s purpose. Life is like a Journey to be commenced, experienced, and completed. Life is like a Project that is pioneered and processed to perfection. Destiny is the fulfilment and finality of processed purpose. The Christian view of Destiny recognises God’s sovereign will, but also a responsibility for personal human choice. In order to fulfil our destinies, we must make the right choices and decisions. This is where Wisdom becomes pertinent. God has gifted us with the dignity of choice. God has defined our destiny, but moment-by-moment, we determine it by our choices, for or against His Will.
Destiny is more a matter of choice, than chance. God has a Design, Blueprint or Plan for Humanity – the Crown of His creation. He always has a design, with details and specifications to guide construction. The One who designed the infinite Universe is also the Architect of our destinies; but we each have a part to play in ensuring that our lives are built according to Divine Design. Belief in destiny is therefore not an excuse for carelessness, inaction, or passivity. Diligence and divine providence play important roles in our lives. Endeavour and good fortune are not apart from each other.
Dignity is the state or quality of being worthy of honour and respect; and acting in an honourable and worthy way. Every destiny in Christ is glorious: “For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also GLORIFIED” (Rom.8:29-30). God didn’t design junk; He created Jewels. And despite the blight of sin, God still transforms junks into Jewels: “They shall be Mine,” says the Lord of hosts, “On the day that I make them My jewels” (Mal.3:17a). We are His dignified Jewels; perfected by His Word and purified through fires of trials!
Knowing that the destiny of every Believer is a precious treasure before God, the devil’s desire and mission is to deny the fulfilment of or destroy destiny. Satan tries one or more of these: hinder the discovery of destiny; deceive with lies and delusion; distract with counterfeit pursuits, false attraction, inordinate ambition, and unholy competition; discourage with pressures and problems; delay fulfilment with weights and stumbling blocks, deny fulfilment through attacks and opposition; or destroy the dream or the Dreamer! But God is able to restore whatever the enemy has tried to tamper with or terminate.
God’s Wisdom in our hearts and lives will release and restore the Dignity of Destinies ordained for Glory, which have been arrested, boxed-in, caged, chained, crippled, defaced, defamed, delayed, disrupted, ensnared, imprisoned, punctured, and suppressed by Satan! Wisdom is a vital instrument for the delivery of glorious, dignified destinies: “By me kings reign, and princes decree justice. By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth” (Pro.8: 15-16). Let's go for Wisdom!

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
