“RICHES and honor are with me, ENDURING RICHES and RIGHTEOUSNESS” – Proverbs 8:18
God’s Covenant Word supplies the WISDOM for FINANCIAL FULFILMENT: “RICHES and honor are with me; yes, DURABLE RICHES and RIGHTEOUSNESS” (Pro.8:18). Financial Enrichment, Financial Freedom and Financial Fulfilment are vital aspects of the incredible Riches in Redemption. God had called His redeemed people, Israel, to walk in His ways in order to receive the blessings of His covenant (Deut.28). But here we see that these blessings are contingent upon Wisdom and Righteousness. We enjoy the blessings of His covenant practically, only as we take heed to the instructions to walk in Wisdom and Righteousness. Financial Fulfilment is a key product of operating in this realm that we referred to in yesterday’s Capstone Capsule, as Righteous Riches – ENDURING or DURABLE RICHES that cannot be eroded by unrighteousness.
God’s Wisdom is in His Word, which is sweeter than honey and more valuable than gold (Psa.19:10-11). Therefore, wisdom is extremely valuable, worth far more than any worldly or financial assets: “Receive my instruction, and not SILVER, and knowledge rather than choice GOLD; for wisdom is better than rubies, and all the things one may desire cannot be compared with her” (vv.10-11). Wisdom is better than jewels and superior to rubies. Wisdom commands wealth. Therefore, Financial Fulfilment is not about running the rat race or accumulating money or materials through greed and selfishness. It is about “receiving” instructions and insight that are more than silver, gold, or rubies – walking in God’s Covenant promises. If we pile up all the things of this world that people consider valuable into a wealthy heap, they cannot compare to wisdom!
Our Lord Jesus Christ came to give us abundant life – the Enriched Life: “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (Jh.10:10). Financial Fulfilment is crucial among those “things that accompany salvation” (Heb.6:9). Redemption delivers us from poverty, penury, financial pain, and material emptiness. God assured Israel: “When you go, that you shall not go empty-handed” (Exo.3:21). Israel’s deliverance from slavery in Egypt was incomplete without economic freedom. Similarly, our deliverance from the kingdom of darkness comes with Financial Freedom and Fulfilment.
To the New Covenant Believer, Financial Fulfilment doesn’t equate having an overflowing Bank account or loads of gold in a vault. All we’ll ever need, as God’s children, are in Christ: “And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus” (Phi.4:19). In practical terms, we can further define Financial Fulfilment as:
Riches without regrets or sorrow: “The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it” (Pro.10:22).
Prosperity without Pain: “Let them shout for joy and be glad, who favor my righteous cause; and let them say continually, “Let the Lord be magnified, who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant” (Psa.35:27). There is a “prosperity of fools” that destroys (Pro.1:32).
Treasures without tension and troubles: “In the house of the righteous there is much treasure, but in the revenue of the wicked is trouble…Better is a little with the fear of the Lord, than great treasure with trouble” (Pro.15: 6, 16).
Wealth without Worries: “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Mt.6:34).
Money matters, but not in absolutely. The Wisdom for Financial Fulfilment positions Money in its proper place in our lives.
Money can buy a sofa, but not comfort.
Money can acquire a water bed, but not sleep.
Money can pay for entertainment, but not joy.
Money can secure a title or position, but not true honour.
Money can purchase medicines and care, but not health or cure.
Money can procure physical security, but not divine defence.
Money can bargain one’s freedom from prison, but not freedom from guilt.
Money can guarantee a front pew in some churches, but not a mansion in heaven.
Wisdom declares: “My fruit is better than gold, yes, than fine gold, and my revenue than choice silver. I traverse the way of righteousness…that I may cause those who love me to inheritance wealth, that I may FILL their TREASURES” (vv. 19-21).

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
