And with GREAT POWER the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all – Acts 4:33
The Witness by the apostles was confirmed “with GREAT POWER” – supernatural power! Christians are meant to be witnesses to the supernatural; that which cannot be explained by natural laws. They are “super”-natural or “above and beyond” the natural, that is, occurring totally outside of the laws of nature. Supernatural power was not limited to the Old Testament Prophets, the Lord Jesus Christ or His apostles. The Power as of old is still the same today. Indeed, Christ had divine creative power, but He laid that aside when He came down to earth, and humbled Himself as a Man (Phil.2:6-8). Rather than operating in His Divinity – manifesting His Power as Deity, Jesus actually utilized the same Power of the Holy Spirit that is still available to every believer today! That’s why He had to be baptised with the Holy Spirit simultaneously with water baptism at Jordan: “And the Holy Spirit descended in a bodily from like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven which said, “You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased” (Lk.3:22).
While He walked, lived, and ministered here on earth, Jesus limited Himself to using the same supernatural power that was and is still available to every born-again believer. Every miracle that Jesus performed was also performed by someone else somewhere in the Bible! Jesus raised the dead, and so did Peter and Paul, and prophets in the Old Testament (Acts 9:36-41; 20:8-10). Jesus multiplied food, but so did Elijah with the meal and the oil in the story of the widow (1Kgs.17:11-16). Jesus walked on water, but Elisha also caused an iron axe to float to the surface of a river (2Kgs.6:5-7), and Moses witnessed the supernatural parting of the Red Sea. Jesus healed the sick and cast out demons, but so did Peter, Paul, and other disciples. We definitely need this same supernatural power to lead victorious Christian lives. We need consistent encounters with and manifestations of God’s Power!
At the Name of Jesus, miracles of healing are still taking place that Medical doctors cannot explain because they are not “natural” or normal occurrences. In these cases and others, God intervenes into nature, and this is why we call them “supernatural”! It is futile to try to analyse such events logically and scientifically. The proper response is to rejoice and praise God for the supernatural. Christianity is supernatural, and it is odd to find supposed Christians who seem almost afraid of supernatural manifestations. God has called the Church as a corporate body and believers to manifest His supernatural power on earth: “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover” (Mk.16:17-18).
More than ever before, we must long to experience God’s supernatural power in order to bless a world that is steeped in crisis and hopelessness. People are desperately looking for answers to ever more severe calamities, increasing evil, rebellion, wars and rumours of war, hunger, financial crisis, deceit, insecurity, and pervading fear. Neither governments, nor political leaders, nor religious systems seem able to offer valid solutions. Multitudes need answers that’ll lead to live in victory, peace and joy in a world that is falling deeper and deeper into darkness. In the midst of this darkness, people are wrestling with deep spiritual questions.
Praise God, believers have the answers to a world in darkness. God has given us His supernatural power to overcome temptations, tribulations, sickness, and other adverse circumstances, and live in victory. Our Heavenly Father is the supernatural, powerful, and immutable God for whom all things are possible (Mk.10:27). Beloved, I invite you: “Come and see the works of God; He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men” (Psa.66:5). God calls us to walk, operate, and live supernaturally by His Great Power!

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
