Matthew 20: 20-28

Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to SERVE, and to give His life a ransom for many – Matthew 20:28

Believers need applied revelation of a LIFESTYLE of SERVICE for IMPACT: "You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those who are great exercise authority over them. Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave – just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to SERVE, and to give His life a ransom for many (Matt.20: 25b-27). The Lord taught that the greatest among His followers should be the servant of all, signifying humility and selfless service as core values.

Also, in Mark 10:45, the Lord Jesus declared that he did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many, showing the ultimate act of service. A lifestyle of service, rooted in faith, is a primary means to impact others and glorify God; hence, we’re consistently encouraged to use their gifts to serve, to be compassionate, and to love others. This lifestyle is not just about isolated actions, but a mindset and way of life that prioritizes selfless giving and impact. Love is Action: Serving others, particularly those in need, demonstrates love in a tangible way, reflecting God's love for the world.

Love for God and love for one's neighbour are the two greatest commandments, which form the foundation for a life of service (Mt.22: 37-40). This is why the Lord commands us to love one another, a love that’s expressed through service and action: “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another” (Jh.13: 34-35). Romans 12:10 therefore emphasizes the import of selfless love: “Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another.”

As Believers, we are encouraged to use our gifts to serve others: As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God” (1Pet.4:10). Colossians 3:23 underscores the importance of serving with a whole hearted devotion to God: "And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men," We are meant to experience Impactful Living through Service. When we serve, we not only impact others but bring glory to God through our actions. Serving others often leads to personal growth, increased empathy, and a deeper understanding of God's Purpose for our life.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
