Bible Meditation:
1 Samuel 24: 1-12

“…The Lord forbid that I should do this thing unto my master, the Lord's anointed, to stretch forth mine hand against him” – 1 Samuel 24:6a

David, the Shepherd-King, walked as a MODEL of DIVINE TIMING: And he said unto his men, The Lord forbid that I should do this thing unto my master, the Lord's anointed, to stretch forth mine hand against him, seeing he is the anointed of the Lord” (1 Sam.24:6). David was anointed king as a teenager, but he did not take the throne immediately. Instead, he was “trained for the throne,” spending years in the wilderness, on the run for his life. His journey teaches us that God’s choice does not imply instant promotion. God uses the gap between the promise and the reality to prepare our character for the platform. Trapped in a cave, David faced the Test of Opportunity, as his men urged him to kill King Saul (vv.3-4). His refusal shows that he would not use human shortcuts to force a divine promise. He respected Divine Timing!

Carrying a tender conscience, David felt guilty just for cutting Saul’s robe (v.5). Divine Timing requires a heart that stays sensitive to God's standards, even under extreme pressure. David honoured authority. He recognized Saul as God’s anointed, and trusted God to remove Saul in His own time rather than taking vengeance into his own hands (vv.6-7). Knowing that vindication belongs to God, David allowed his integrity to speak for him (vv.10-12). He trusted that God, the righteous Judge, would deliver him without human interference. Psalm 27: 14 exhorts us to wait on the Lord and be of good courage; while Galatians 6:9 reminds us not to grow weary, for we will reap in due season.

Beloved, we must reject shortcuts and never compromise our values to speed up our promotion. If God promised it, His hand will execute it without fleshly help. Stepping into a promise prematurely through human scheming will always break what God intended to build. We must keep our hearts pure, guarded against bitterness while waiting. The wilderness is not a punishment; it is God's training ground to ensure that our character can sustain our calling. How we treat our critics in the wilderness determines how we will rule in the palace. Like David, we can trust God to fight for us, stepping back to let Him handle those who oppose us. Our vindication is much safer in His hands than our own.

In Jesus’ Name, I affirm that:

I choose to wait on God’s perfect timing in life. By Grace, I master my impulses and reject every fleshly shortcut to success and promotion.

My heart remains pure and sensitive to God's Word. I hold no bitterness against those who oppose me, being assured of God’s Vindication.

God is my Shield, my Deliverer, and my Vindicator. I am being trained for reigning, and will not take vengeance into my own hands.

God’s promises for my life will not fail. I am being shaped into a vessel of honour, and in due season, to step victoriously into my destiny.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
