“WHEN the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion, we were like those who dream. THEN our mouth was filled with LAUGHTER…” – Psalm 126: 1-2a
Psalm 126 provides a profound blueprint for Believers navigating seasons of weeping into SEASONS of JOY and LAUGHTER: “WHEN the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion, we were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them” (Psa.126:1-2). It highlights divine processing and the sequence of waiting, where God’s timing guarantees that faithful endurance in seasons of difficulty ultimately yields a supernatural, joyful harvest.
The word “When” in verse 1, points to the divine catalyst – God’s intervention in restoring the fortunes of Zion. This is equated to a “dream,” signifying that God's deliverance can be so unexpected, overwhelming, and glorious that human logic struggles to comprehend it. Next, the word, “THEN,” shows a direct, time-bound consequence of God’s action. Joy and laughter are not just mere emotions; they are the automatic, overflow response when the Lord turns captivity around. Reproach is silenced, and the mockery of the enemy is turned into undeniable testimonies that even unbelievers recognize. The “When" of waiting ultimately leads to the "Then" of rejoicing!
Divine Seasons follow the principle of Sowing and Reaping: “Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy…” (vv.5-6). Sowing represents the period of effort, weakness, and sometimes pain and weeping. The tears indicate that the seed is being watered by prayer and faith during tough times, leading to reaping with shouts of joy. The season of weeping has an expiration date, and God rewards perseverance with an abundant, victorious harvest. Job 8:21 affirms: "He will yet fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy."
Beloved, let’s acknowledge the seasonal nature of Life; while weeping may endure for the night, joy comes in the morning (Psa.30:5). Temporary setbacks must not be allowed to dictate our eternal perspective. We must continue to sow seeds of faith – consistent prayers, obedience, and acts of love – diligently, watering them with hope rather than despair. We must not stop doing what is right even during difficult seasons. Moreover, we can cultivate an Atmosphere of Joy, and choose to adopt laughter and praise as spiritual weapons.
In Jesus’ Name Precious Name, I declare that:
Seasons of weeping are over, and my set time of laughter and rejoicing has arrived. My mouth is filled with laughter, and my tongue overflows with songs of victory every day.
The Lord is turning every captivity into a dream come true; my life is a testimony of supernatural restoration. Nations and observers shall see the great things the Lord has done for me and glorify His name.
Every seed of prayer, patience, and obedience I have sown in tears is springing forth into a massive harvest. I will not give up in the time of sowing; I am confident I will return bringing my sheaves with me.
The joy of the Lord is my strength, and the spirit of heaviness has no place in my life. God is restoring the lost years, wasted seasons, and stolen joy with double honour.

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
