GATEKEEPERS

Neither give place to the devil – Ephesians 4:27

“In journalism, the term gatekeeper refers to reporters, editors, and publishers who consider various news items and determine which stories are newsworthy. Some long-time news professionals warn that the Internet allows information to get through without being checked at the gate.

THE MIND – THE HEART’S DOOR

Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life – Proverbs 4:23

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ – 2 Corinthians 10:5

DOOR OF PRIVACY IN PRAYER

But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast SHUT THY DOOR, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly – Matthew 6:6

DOORS INTO CHAMBERS OF INTERCESSION

Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and SHUT THY DOORS about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast – Isaiah 26:20

The Lord Jesus remains our Perfect Pattern in Prayer and Intercession! He practised the habit of entering into His closet and shutting the door – shutting out the noisy distractions of the world, in order to enjoy intimate, concentrated communion with the Father-God. His closets included the solitary place (Mk.1:35), the desert place (Lk.4:42), and the lonely mountain cave (Mt.14:23; Mk.6:46; Lk.6:12).

PASSION PUSHES THROUGH THE DOOR

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force – Mt. 11:12

Speaking in the context of Prayer, the Lord instructs that we A.S.K. – Ask, Seek, and Knock (Mt. 7:7). In a broader context, someone has said: “when you get to the door of opportunity it may not be sufficient for you to knock – you may have to PUSH.” Many believers are familiar with the slogan: ‘Pray Until Something Happens’ – P-U-S-H!

ASK, SEEK, KNOCK ON THE DOOR

ASK, and it will be given to you; SEEK, and you will find; KNOCK, and it will be opened to you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened – Mathew 7:7

Matthew 7:7 carries a three-dimensioned instruction to ASK, SEEK, and KNOCK. Interestingly, the first letters of ask, seek, and knock spell “A.S.K.” The Lord gave these instructions in the context of prayer. Hence, there is a mysterious efficacy to persistent prayer, the prayer that asks, seeks, and knocks (Jer.29:11-13; Lk.18:1-5).

THE VOICE OF THE DOOR

I AM THE DOOR. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture – John 10:9

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears MY VOICE and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me – Revelation 3:20

THE LORD AT THE DOOR

Behold, I STAND AT THE DOOR and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me – Revelations 3:20

Doors represent access or entry for someone or something. Doors are as significant as the Personalities that are able to access them. Not everyone can be permitted to access certain doors. Mere men cannot freely enter through royal doors into the courts of Kings. Only the noble are permitted through the doors of power and prominence.

JESUS – THE DOOR

“I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.” – John 10:9

The first, foremost and most fundamental Mystery of Doors is the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. It means a lot when the Eternal I AM – not another – described Himself as THE DOOR: “I am the DOOR…” (John 10:9). All other doors fade in significance before this ONE DOOR to accessing Eternal Life!

DOORS AND DESTINIES

Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house: – Proverbs 5:8

In the natural as well as in the spiritual doors have diverse functions. Doors serve as entries or exits. A door serves either as an entry or an exit or both. There are always two sides to a door: the inside or the outside; this space or that space. Some doors symbolically welcome and physically admit people: they beckon and say “Come!” Other doors imprison or keep people out.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
