Bible Meditation:
Nehemiah 12: 27-43
“Now at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought out the Levites in all their palaces, to bring them to Jerusalem to CELEBRATE the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgiving and singing, with cymbals and stringed instruments and harps” – Nehemiah 12:27

Welcome to December, our Month of CELEBRATING GOD’S FULLNESS and our FLOURISHING. Let’s recall that this is our Year of Flourishing in God’s Fullness. The Lord has indeed been extremely gracious and good, and this is the time of Thanksgiving and the season to Celebrate His Fullness and our Flourishing therein. Celebration refers to the action of celebrating an important day or event, such as a birthday or wedding. To celebrate is to make merry; to acknowledge a significant time, occasion or event with a notable gathering or activity; to perform something special to mark an important event or occasion; to commemorate. Celebrations always involve profuse and exuberant expressions of joy and gratitude. In reality, as Christians we have something to celebrate in Jesus Christ every day of our lives, but God sometimes ushers us into special seasons of celebrations!

Whether in the secular or spiritual aspects of life, there could be many reasons for rejoicing, celebrations, and dedications. We celebrate baby dedications; weddings, which are formal dedications of a couple to one another and to God; and dedications of buildings and businesses, which are all offered to the Lord. All of these are good and great things to practise. However, such dedications and special celebrations should picture what we practice every day of our lives. Everything we do should be dedicated to the Lord and for His Glory – our education, career, marriage, friendships, ministry, and even eating and drinking: “So whatever you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God” (1Cor.10:31). Again, “whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men” (Col.3:23).

It is clear from Scripture that Celebration is an essential aspect of our spiritual life. It is a spiritual discipline that God desires for us to practise. It was never His will for Christians to live dry, boring lives, hence we see celebrations both commanded and practised throughout the Bible. This is evident in both the Old and New Testaments. Celebration is central to virtually all Spiritual Devotions and Disciplines. Without a joyful spirit of festivity, the Disciplines become dry religious routines and dull rituals in the hands of modern Pharisees. Christ came so that we may have life and life more abundantly (Jh.10:10). Celebration is central to this abundant life.

In Nehemiah 12, Israel dedicated the wall to God by bringing in worshippers, walking around the wall, and offering sacrifices to Him. As the Wall of 2019 nears completion, this is our Season to celebrate God’s Fullness, count our blessings and name them one-by-one, and acknowledge what the Lord has done. Let’s thankfully reflect on the prophetic themes in the past eleven months.

In January, we were ushered into the revelation of the Fullness of God.
In February, we meditated on Flourishing in His Fullness.
In March, we received the Fullness of Favour, Grace and Mercy.
In April, we partook of the Fullness of the Word, Spirit, and Life.
In May, we encountered the Fullness of Power, Miracles and Wonders.
In June, we experienced the Fullness of Blessings.
In July, we flowed in the fullness of Joy and Strength.
In August, we tasted of the Fullness of God’s Glory – His Life, Love and Light.
In September, we accessed the Fullness in God’s House.
In October, we encountered the Fullness of Love, Peace, and Prosperity.
In November, we enjoyed the Fullness of Supernatural Supplies and Riches.

By the Word and the Spirit of God, much more than before, we have become active and practical partakers of the Father’s Fullness: “And of His Fullness we have all received, and grace for grace” (Jh.1:16). We are no longer foreigners to His Fullness. To varying degrees, we have begun to flourish in His Fullness, and cannot but celebrate this new reality! God will cause us to "rejoice with great joy" so that our celebration shall be heard afar off (Neh.12:43). Get set, it’s time to celebrate God's Fullness and your flourishing!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
