“For HE REMEMBERED HIS HOLY PROMISE, and Abraham His servant” – Psalm 105:42
The Exodus Story aptly illustrates God’s Faithfulness to His Unfailing DIVINE PROMISES: “For HE REMEMBERED HIS HOLY PROMISE, and Abraham His servant. He brought out His people with joy, His chosen ones with gladness. He gave them the lands of the Gentiles, and they inherited the labor of the nations, that they might observe His statutes and keep His laws” (Psa.105:42-45). Our meditation text highlights God’s faithfulness in providing, protecting, and delivering His people, based on the fact that He never forgets His Holy Promise!
The passage recounts God’s legacy of faithfulness during the Exodus. God did not just free Israel; He empowered them with provision, health, protection, guidance, supernatural sustenance, and inheritance. They left with silver and gold; and not one person was weak or "feeble" among their tribes (v.37). God provided a cloud for protective covering and fire for warmth at night and as guiding light (v.39). God supernaturally sustained them with manna from heaven and water from a rock (vv.40-41); and they inherited the labour of others (v.44).
"For He remembered His Holy Promise" (v.42). God’s "Remembering" is action! It does not mean He forgot and suddenly recalled. Rather, it means He actively stepped in to fulfill a covenant promise. The basis of the blessing of deliverance for Israel, was not because they were worthy, but because God was faithful to His oath to Abraham. “His Holy Promise” implies a promise that proceeds from God's own Character – inviolable, sacred, and sure. God’s Faithfulness was unconditional: Despite Israel’s later, and often, unfaithfulness, this psalm focuses entirely on God’s commitment to keep His Word. Even now, He remembers His covenant promises to us through Christ Jesus.
In Jesus’ Name I decree that:
Because God remembered His promise, every delayed blessing in my life is released. Like the Israelites, I have left "Egypt," not empty-handed, but with wealth and resources.
No sickness, disease, or weakness will hold me back. I am operating in divine health – none feeble in my home! God’s cloud of Glory covers me by day and His fire guides me by night. I am protected from the scorching sun and the chilling darkness of life.
My “Rock” is producing water in the desert. God is bringing resources from unlikely places for my sustenance. I will inherit the labour of others and enjoy the fruits I did not plant.
Because my God is too faithful to fail, my days of crying are over. I am brought out with rejoicing and shouts of joy! The fear of God has fallen upon my enemies; they are scattered, and I am secure in my divine inheritance!
As I keep God’s statutes, I am set apart to live to glorify my God. My destiny is secured, because the same God who kept His Word to Abraham will keep His Word to me!

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
