DOOR OF HOPE

Bible Meditation:
Psalm 42: 1-11

And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a DOOR of HOPE: and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt – Hosea 2:15

Which HOPE we have as an ANCHOR of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; - Hebrews 6:19

The Lord God specializes in opening DOORS of HOPE in the very depth of depression and valley of helplessness. Jehovah turns sadness into gladness, sighing into singing, and gloom into glory! Whereas it is the nature of men to weaken or take away hope, it is in God’s character to give and restore hope when we turn to Him.

God’s door of hope is nearer than you imagined. The BOOK opens the DOOR! “For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have HOPE” (Rom.15:4, NIV). The Scriptures abound in HOPE, so that you and I may abound in HOPE (vs.13). Standing on the authority of the Scriptures, we can “boast of our troubles, because we know that trouble produces endurance, endurance brings God’s approval, and His approval creates HOPE. This HOPE does not disappoint us…” (Rom.5:3-5, GNB).

God wants you to HOPE in HIM. He desires that you hold on to HOPE as the ANCHOR of your soul, even in the most boisterous storms of life (Heb. 6:19). If you wouldn’t hold on to hope for your own sake, please do so for the sake of others. When God makes hope to work for you, it is that you can offer comfort, strength and hope to others who are struggling. “He helps us in all our troubles, so that we are able to help others who have all kinds of troubles, using the same help that we ourselves have received from God” (2 Cor.1:4, GNB). You are more likely to extend a helping to others who fall into life’s potholes, when you have a history of how hope helped you through.

Beloved, however down and out your situation might have been, however much your tears have flowed, it is time to command your soul to not be downcast or disturbed, but to HOPE in GOD. Let your soul thirst for God, for the living God, even as the deer pants for streams of water. There is HOPE in your end (Jer.31:17). Above all, keep aglow the “BLESSED HOPE and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ” (Tit.2:13). If you believe, you shall yet praise Him, your Saviour and your God…in Jesus Name!

Prayer:
Lord, turn all negative, valley experiences into DOORS of HOPE for me; let Your HOPE continue to be the ANCHOR of my soul in Jesus name.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
