EVER-BRIGHTER LIGHT OF VISION

“But the PATH of the just is like the SHINING SUN, that SHINE EVER BRIGHTER unto the perfect day” – Proverbs 4:18

God’s Perfect Will for Believers in Christ is the EVER-BRIGHTER LIGHT of VISION: “But the PATH of the just is like the SHINING SUN, that SHINES EVER BRIGHTER unto the perfect day” (Pro.4:18). The English Standard Version says, “But the path of the righteous is like the LIGHT of DAWN, which shines brighter and brighter until FULL DAY.” A Vision is like the DAY. By divine ordination, it begins with the DAWN – the first light of the day, break of day after the dark night. God has set the decree that the Dawn of Light must follow the darkness of the night. Similarly, no pool of the powers of darkness can prevent the dawn of a Vision which God has ordained and purposed. When the Light of Vision dawned on Saul of Tarsus on the Road to Damascus, nothing could stop the blazing brightness of the Sun of righteousness.

A Divine Vision is like a new-born baby. Birth is the beginning of all living beings. A baby is born after months of bending burden and days or hours of tough travails. The period of pregnancy culminates in a climax of labour, birth pangs and ultimate delivery. Likewise, every true Vision is born and bred in the posture of prevailing prayer. The travail of Zion birthed her children (Isa.66:8). Our travails in prayers bring our visions to birth. Like a baby, a divine vision starts small and grows big. No baby is born big overnight, except it’s a monster. We shall not travail in vain. Our visions will not be aborted at conception or in the womb, but the Light of Vision will shine ever-brighter, in Jesus’ name.

God has no pleasure in hoarding revelation or keeping us in the dark. “In Him is Life and the Light is the LIGHT of men. And the LIGHT SHINES in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it” (Jh.1: 4-5). Christ Himself is the Light of the World, and whoever follows Him shall not stumble or “walk in darkness, but have the Light of Life” (Jh.8:12). Divine Light never diminishes in intensity. As we follow and walk in the Light of the Lord, we become “the Light of the World...a city that is set on a hill (that) cannot be hid” (Mt.5:14).

A Vision is like a piece of diamond; when it is roughened, it comes out brighter, more brilliant. Trials in the pathway of destiny and cloudy phases in life’s skyline would pass away as surely as they came, leaving the Vision shining brighter. We have the Lord for our Light: “The Lord is MY LIGHT and my salvation; whom shall I fear?” (Psa.27:1a). On us, “the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings” (Mal.4:2). As we walk in God’s Word on Destiny’s Pathway, His Light of Purpose shall shine ever-brighter until the Full Day of Fulfilment.
