FAVOUR: UNCOMMON LIKE A DREAM

When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream – Psalm 126:1

Divine Favour is not “normal”; it is UNCOMMON like a dream. When the Lord beamed the light of favour and turned again the captivity of Zion, the Psalmist recorded: “we were like them that dream” (Ps.126:1). With favour came laughter, singing and wonders to the world of observers. Favour is not natural; it is supernatural. Millions of people struggle and sweat on a daily basis to achieve at best, average achievements or none at all. You cannot work hard enough in the energy of the flesh to acquire or achieve everything you desire or deserve in life. Favour is indispensable to a life of triumph!

Favour is for you to always receive kindness from others as a result of God’s Presence in your life. Joseph always found help from somebody at every turbulent time in his life (chapters 39-45 of Genesis).

Favour is for you to be selected in distinction among many qualified counterparts. For instance, Esther was selected among several other beautiful ladies that were qualified to be the queen in Persia (Est.2:15-17).

Favour is for you to be chosen for the position you are not naturally qualified for, especially among others that are far better. David was the least qualified person naturally in his family, but God rejected others to look for him (1 Sam.16: 11-13).

Favour is to seek the face of God in Prayer, and have all your requests granted as in the case of Jabez (1Chr.4:9-10).

Favour is for help to be made available to you at a time and from a place you least expected. The man waiting at the pool of Bethesda encountered the very Fountain of Favour and walked away restored and whole (Jh.17: 1-15).

Favour is for you to be guided such that your little effort leads to great achievement. Peter toiled throughout the night with great failure, but at the word of the Lord, he had a great success (Lk.5: 1-9).

When God releases the flavours of favour, your life assumes a colourful and enviable dimension. It would be like a wonderful dream, provoking laughter, singing and wonders. May these be your portions in Jesus name!
