“But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the CHILDREN’S BREAD, and to cast it unto the dogs” – Mark 7:27
The uniqueness of the Covenants of Health and Healing reflects in the fact that HEALING is the CHILDREN’S BREAD: “But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it unto the dogs” (Mk.7:27). This was Jesus’s reply to a gentile woman that came to ask Him to heal her daughter. It implied that she had no right to ask for healing, since she wasn’t Jewish. Jesus told her that the bread He had (healing) was for the children (the Jews). The Gospel was not yet opened to the Gentile world. Thank God, in Christ Jesus today, we all have access to the blessings, promises and covenants that God promised to the nation of Israel.
Bread in a home is a child’s privilege and the father’s responsibility. A child need not beg for bread. The father’s delight is to provide bread for the child. Jesus said, “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him?” (Mt.7:11). Wisely and strangely, the woman humbled herself and pleaded for mercy instead of trying to claim rights she didn’t have. The Lord of Mercy responded such that she returned home to find her daughter healed. She received based on His mercy, not on what she deserved.
Based on His Covenant Word, God wants us well. For healing to be real however, wer must be convinced that healing is in Christ’s atonement: “by whose stripes you were healed” (1 Pet. 2:24b). Jesus took stripes for our healing! It’s one of the things He bought for us through His sacrifice! It’s a done deal – “You were healed” – past tense! Unfortunately, some people align with their theological contentions than with the simple declaration of Scripture. Even some who believe God CAN heal don’t believe He WILL or has already healed. But it’s hard to argue with a past-tense statement like that of 1 Peter 2:24, which itself is a re-affirmation of Isaiah 53:5. By these witnesses the Word is settled!
To fulfil prophecy, Jesus took stripes not only for our spiritual health but also our physical healing: “When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses” (Mt.8:16-17). Jesus suffered for our healing! It’s our portion. Healing is the children’s bread. It’s fully paid for.
Beloved, you don’t have to be sick. Healing is your bread – it belongs to you as God’s child. God wants you to be vibrant in spirit, sound in mind and strong in body. As you meditate on His Covenant Words of Health and Healing and allow them to take root in your heart, He’ll cause hope to awaken and childlike faith to arise. With your conviction settled, your childlike faith will be rekindled that God has already done it. Then, you can take authority over Satan, command him and his baggage of diseases to leave, and the organs and cells of your body to receive healing, and be restored! Healing is not conditional upon your self-effort; it comes by faith in Christ’s finished work! Keep confessing health and healing Scriptures, and see the Lord perfect His work! It’s time to walk out what you believe!
Healing is the children’s bread in God’s family. It was the Father’s responsibility to provide the bread, and it is our privilege as God’s children to eat that bread to satisfaction. All we need do is stretch our faith and receive. Let’s be confident in His provision and declare together: “Healing is my portion as a Child of God. By the stripes of Christ, my body and mind are completely healed at all times.”

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
