HOW FAITH WORKS

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation – Romans 10: 9-10

Every believer has faith. It is by faith that you come into God’s kingdom and it is by faith that you are expected to live and thrive in the Kingdom. There is no child of God who does not have faith: “For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to EVERY MAN the MEASURE of FAITH” (Rom.12:3). The issue, therefore, is not whether you as a child of God have faith or not; the issue is how you PUT YOUR FAITH TO WORK. Your faith is part of the DEPOSIT of DIVINITY within you. Your faith is what God works with to bring to pass the fulfilment of His promises in your life.

FAITH WORKS! Faith is a spiritual PRINCIPLE, a spiritual LAW, a spiritual FORCE – that WORKS in a specific way. The Principle of Faith is as established – if not more – as the Laws of Science. There is no ambiguity, uncertainty or common sense approach to the working of faith!

The effective working of faith requires the vital alignment of CONVICTION with CONFESSION; a connection of the HEART (the spirit) with the words coming out of the MOUTH. Your words become effective conveyors of power when your heart perfectly aligns with your mouth: “And Jesus answering said unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall SAY unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not DOUBT in his HEART, but shall believe that those things which he SAID shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he SAID” (Mark 11: 22-23). Your mouth and heart must resonate for power to be released and for faith to be effective in performance.

The power for salvation comes by confessing with the mouth the Lord Jesus and believing with the heart that God has raised Him from the dead (Rom.8:8-10). Faith for salvation, healing, deliverance and every other blessing operates by the alignment of the heart with the mouth! Practically, this occurs essentially through MEDITATION in the Word of God. You can train your mouth and heart to always agree, as you constantly confess, meditate on, think, pray, prophesy and practice the Word! You can discipline yourself to always say only what the Word says.
