Bible Meditation:
Jeremiah 17: 12-17

“HEAL me, O Lord, and I shall be HEALED; save me, and I shall be saved, for You are My praise” – Jeremiah 17:14

All through the Bible – both the Old and New Testaments – we encounter LIGHT for DIVINE HEALING: “HEAL me, O Lord, and I shall be HEALED; save me, and I shall be saved, for You ate My praise” (Jer.17:14). Here, the prophet was expressing the heart-cry of everyone that passionately desires the Healing Touch of God. Physical healing is as much part of our salvation as is Forgiveness of sins. Like the psalmist worshipped: “Bless the Lord, o my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities; Who HEALS all your diseases” (Psa.103: 2-3). Jesus took stripes not only to save our souls, but also, to heal our bodies and minds.

Let’s consider Three Fundamental Truths concerning Divine Healing:

God is the Healer, and He has never changed. He says: If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD WHO HEALS you (Exo.15:26). Healing is so central to His Mission of Redemption, that Christ died to not only atone for sins but also for sicknesses: “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and BY HIS STRIPES WE ARE HEALED” (Isa.53: 4-5).

Jesus healed the sick, and still does: “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and HEALING ALL who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him” (Acts 10:38). Sickness resulted from Satan’s introduction of sin into this world. In contrast, through healing, Christ destroys the works of Satan: “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil” (1Jh.3:8b). During His earth-walk, healings flowed from Jesus’ Heart of compassion: “And when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and HEALED their SICK” (Mt.14:14). He still heals today because it is His nature to heal, and His purpose to destroy the works of the devil, so we can serve Him in sound health!

Jesus met diverse healing needs: “Then great multitudes came to Him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, maimed; and many others; and they laid them down at Jesus’ feet, and HE HEALED them” (Mt.15:30-31). He commanded His disciples: HEAL the SICK, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give” (Mt.10:8). The Holy Spirit Who did all of Christ’s miracles and raised Him from the dead resides in every true Believer with all of His Healing Power, making us to know the Saviour as also the Healer.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
