“My soul, WAIT SILENTLY for GOD ALONE, for my expectation is from Him” – Psalm 62:5
In times of need or trouble, THE SECRET PLACE must be our first and only recourse: “My soul, WAIT SILENTLY for GOD ALONE, for my expectation is from Him” (Psa.62:5). True Worshippers of God come to Him first in times of need. They seek God’s Face and wait on Him for directives on the course to take. The Secret Place becomes the threshold where we wait upon God, seeking His powerful intervention, and crying out to Him for wisdom and revelation. One of the greatest secrets of Intimacy with God is to come to Him as our only Source of Hope and Help. God loves it when we look to Him alone for deliverance. He is pleased when in any situation, we have no Plan B – no other option to default to if things don’t come through. On the contrary, His jealousy is kindled when we entertain other saviours.
The Lord scoffed at the idolatry of the children of Israel by pointing to the vain hope that a block of wood offered (Isa.44: 14-20). Even though in the globally dispersed westernized culture there are very few people who still worship physical figures of wood or stone, there remain many false gods, a ‘god’ being anything to which we ascribe the power of deliverance. The ‘idols’ of modern cultures – sources to which people turn for deliverance and dependence in times of crisis and need, include: Money, social security, Health Insurance, medical treatment or prescriptions, retirement plans, credit cards, pleasure, entertainment, recreation, sports, sex, drugs, liquor, lawsuits, and governments. These ‘false gods’ campaign for our allegiance. These gods of our culture are pushing and promoting their powers in all directions.
At such times when we’re inspired by the Holy Spirit to wait on the Lord only and stand in faith for Him to intervene sovereignly for us, we step into the God-zone where the stuff of miracles manifest. This is the dimension where God rises up in His wrath and wreaks havoc upon the enemies. Our role is to gaze upon Him, love Him, and grow in patience and faith, and obey. His roles are to reveal the Power of His Arm, the splendour of His majesty, and awesomeness of His eternal purposes, and to release resurrection power in His time and way. It was toward this glorious dimension that David pointed in Psalm 62: “He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved” (v.6).
Our Lord Jesus said: “If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light” (Mt.6:22). The original Greek word for “good” or “single” means being void of duplicity, singularity of focus, and an undivided heart. When our eye is focused on God alone as Deliverer, we open to the fullness of His Light. Our God loves to prove Himself strong on behalf of those who have no other gods before Him.

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
