SOURCE, SUPPLIES AND RESOURCES

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning” – James 1:17

The Almighty God is the SOURCE of all SUPERNATURAL SUPPLIES and RESOURCES: “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning” (Jam.1:17). Jehovah is the Ultimate Source of all good and perfect gifts – all that are of eternal value. Every other person or institution that adds value to your life is only a RESOURCE or CHANNEL of blessing. Even the Lord Jesus Christ taught and exemplified this truth: “…the Son can do nothing by Himself, but what he sees the Father do…” (Jh.5:19). Only the Source –is worthy of our worship and praise. All other resources and channels are only worthy to be acknowledged and appreciated.

God is the only reliable Source of Security. Let’s consider financial security, for example. The Bible says: “for riches are not forever, nor does a crown endure to all generations” (Pro.27:24). Financial uncertainty characterizes today's world of failing banks, crumbling investment giants, shrinking multinational corporations, swelling ranks of the under-employed and unemployed, plus an epidemic of fear plaguing the hearts of even the presently-employed. In such times, we cannot turn to the government, the politicians or the next get-rich-quick guru! Only God is the true Source! All of His resources are meant to flow freely from the place of abundance to the place of need: “that now at this time your abundance may supply their lack, that their abundance also may supply your lack – that there may be equality” (2Cor.8:14).

There's no crisis of provision in our Father’s Kingdom! When Israel hungered and thirsted, Jehovah sent them fresh manna and water from the rock. He assigned ravens to feed Elijah, multiplied oil and flour to sustain a destitute widow's family, and fed thousands from a boy's lunch of five loaves and two fish. The Source of all Supernatural Supplies asks us: “Is there anything too hard for Me?” (Jer.32:27b). The answer is “No”! So, we can trust God to provide for us abundantly as we obey His instructions. Hear His Promise: “The lambs will provide your clothing, and the goats the price of a field; you shall have enough…for the food of your household, and the nourishment of your maidservants” (Pro.27:26-27).

Beloved, make God your Source: “I am the LORD your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you by the way you should go” (Isa.48:17). Then, no matter what you’re going through, God will give you supernatural resources equal to the challenge you’re facing, and connect you to His channels of blessings. When God is your Source, your stress level goes down! If you feel lost in unfamiliar terrain or uncertain as to what your next move should be, God may be permitting such times in order to get your attention, call you back to Himself, and encourage you to lean on Him, your unfailing Source of Life and all. Stop trying to figure everything out by yourself! Take your needs to the Lord and ask Him for His supernatural solutions. He will never disappoint you! God says, “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know” (Jer. 33:3).

God has great blessings in store for us. But we must never forget that He alone is the Source of every good thing we'll ever have. We need not bear our burdens on our own, but lay them down and receive divine rest (Mt.11:28). It is the father’s good pleasure to give us all the blessings and benefits of the Kingdom (Lk.12:32). He who has called us will always ensure that heaven’s resources are available to us. But you must walk worthy of our calling, and prayerful avoid any disconnection from our Eternal Source of Strength, Guidance, and Wisdom. When we reach the end of our hoarded resources, our Father’s full giving has only begun. His love has no limit; His grace no measure; and His power no boundary known to men.
