“Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the NAME which is above every name, that at the NAME of JESUS every knee should bow” – Philippians 2: 9-10a
The Believer’s Authority is hinged on UNDERSTANDING the NAME of JESUS and the Power therein: “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the NAME which is above every name, that at the NAME of JESUS every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, / and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Phi.2: 9-11). The name “Jesus” or “Joshua” derives from Hebrew roots meaning “the Lord is salvation.” The Scriptures couple God’s Name and salvation to communicate that the Lord, and He alone, saves His people from evil by His Sovereign Grace. Matthew 1:21 explicitly states: “And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call HIS NAME JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins.” Jesus is the Saviour!
The name of Jesus is significant because of who it represents – it means “God our Saviour.” Jesus Christ is Immanuel, God with us (Mt.1:22-23). The name of Jesus reminds us about the amazing humility of the Son of God. As His followers; we must also strive to show the same selfless humility that Jesus demonstrated while on earth (vv.5-8). However, Jesus is not just a name of unmatched humility; it is also a name of infinite exaltation. The enemy will do anything to keep us in the dark concerning the name, so that he can continue to oppress. The Power in the name of Jesus brings deliverance from all demonic oppression: “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). Here are a dozen crucial truths about the Name of Jesus:
His name gives us our identity: “… And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.” (Acts 11:26).
His name is above every other name (vv.9-11) – above the name of any sickness, disease, or situation.
Everything Jesus is and carries is in His name (Mk.16: 17-18).
Whatever Jesus can do, the power in the name will do it when we use it. We exercise our God-given authority only in the name of Jesus.
His name is at work increasingly; it is never on break (Mt.28:20).
Only through His name can we get anything from God (Jh.16:23-24).
The enemy understands the power of names, most especially the name Jesus. Devils tremble at the name Jesus (Mt.8:29; Acts 16:18).
The name of Jesus is a strong refuge (Pro.18:10).
The power in the name provides protection and covering from any imminent evil.
His name commands instant delivery (Acts 9:34).
The power in the name of Jesus is invoked through faith (Acts 3:16).
We are qualified to use His name only if we are born again (Acs 19: 13-17).

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
