LOVE’S MOTIVATION (2)

If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing – 1 Corinthians 13: 2-3 (NIV).

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal – 1 Corinthians 13: 1 (NIV).

Yesterday, we were counselled to LET LOVE GUIDE no matter the seasons or situations being faced. Whether we are passing through complicated and messy seasons of life; or wading through storms of slander and onslaughts of strife, we must LET LOVE GUIDE!

And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness – Colossians 3:14 (KJV)

And over all these virtues PUT ON LOVE, which binds them all together in perfect unity – Colossians 3:14 (NIV)

What do you do when passing through confusing, complicated, and messy seasons of life? What do you do when you are wading through storms of slander and onslaughts of the strife of tongues?

This could be a wise and godly response: PUT ON LOVE…LET LOVE GUIDE!

LIVE LOVE (2)

Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; – Romans 12:9-10 (KJV)

Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other – Romans 12:9-10 (NLT)

Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another – I John 4:11

Do you sometimes ponder on exactly what God wants you to do, especially when you have an array of choices, demands and options to respond to. That seems normal; so do I.
