GOD IS IN MY TOMORROW

When He has brought out all His own, He goes on ahead of them, and His sheep follow Him because they know His voice – John 10:4 (NIV).

REFLECTIONS ON LOVE

But the FRUIT of the Spirit is LOVE… – Galatians 5:22a

All the praise be to the Lord for giving us the opportunity to meditate on the theme of LOVE, blessing us with the REVELATION of LOVE, and ushering us into a REVOLUTION of LOVE. It is apt to reflect on the rich insight gained so far. Here are few tit-bits of the nuggets of revelation:

UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us – Romans 5:8

“One of the most beautiful things the Bible says is that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (see Rom. 5:8). He did not wait for us to deserve His love; he loves us unconditionally…that’s hard for many of us to comprehend because we are so accustomed to having to earn and deserve everything in life.

REVOLUTIONARY LOVE

Give away your life; you’ll find life given back, but not merely given back – given back with bonus and blessing. Giving, not getting, is the way. Generosity begets generosity. Luke 6:38 (Message)

“…Thomas Jefferson said, “Every generation needs a new revolution,” and I believe now is the time for the world’s next revolution, the greatest revolution of all. We don’t need the same kinds of revolutions that have dotted the landscape of world history in the generations before us; we don’t need a revolution based on politics, economies, or technology. We need a LOVE REVOLUTION.

LOVE – THE GREATEST

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity – 1 Corinthians 13: 13

LOVE’S TABOOS

If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? – 1 John 4:20

The Bible’s Love Chapter – 1 Corinthians 13 – is so beautiful and poetic, that we tend to flip over to it in isolation of its not-so-positive context! This rich reflection on love lies in the middle of teachings about spiritual gifts. The thrust of the message is that while specific spiritual gifts are given to certain people, love is given to and expected of all of us.

LOVE NEVER DIES

…Love never dies… – 1 Corinthians 13:8 (Message)

Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that His hour was come that He should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved His own which were in the world, He loved them unto the end – John 13: 1

LOVE’S ENDURANCE

…endureth all things. Love never fails – 1 Corinthians 13:7d, 8

…Never looks back, but keeps going to the end… – 1 Corinthians 13:7d (Message)

LOVE’S EXPECTATION

…hopes all things… - 1 Corinthians 13:7d

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: – Philippians 1:6

LOVE HOPES. Love hopes all things. Hope represents a favourable and confident expectation. It is an attitude that good will eventually come to those who may now be failing. Hope is optimism. Loving others requires maintain a measure of optimism on their behalf. LOVE is positive and optimistic. Love is positively expectant.

LOVE’S TRUST

…believes all things…– 1 Corinthians 13:7c

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose – Romans 8:28

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
