ANOINTING FOR FAVOUR

He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, He reproved kings for their sakes; Saying, Touch not mine ANOINTED, and do my prophets no harm – Psalm 105: 14-15

There is an ANOINTING for FAVOUR available for God’s covenant-children and that can be contacted through PRAYERS: “Peter therefore was kept in prison: but PRAYER was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him” (Acts 12:5). God has given us the privilege to pray for and receive His favour consistently, to meet every need of our lives. It is written concerning His Old Covenant people, Israel: “When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people; He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, He reproved kings for their sakes; Saying, TOUCH NOT MINE ANOINTED, and do My prophets no harm” (Psalm 105:13-15). If Israel could carry such a “Touch Not” sign, the Believer in Christ carries even a more formidable emblem by reason of Redemption through the Blood of Jesus!

The anointing of the Holy Spirit brings supernatural separation and distinction. It attracts and confers supernatural favour! The anointing for favour draws the line in the spirit that the enemies of our souls cannot cross. God through Moses declared to Pharaoh: “And I will sever in that day the land of Goshen, in which My people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there; to the end thou mayest know that I am the LORD in the midst of the earth. And I will put a DIVISION between My people and thy people: tomorrow shall this sign be (Exo.8: 22-23). The anointing for favour keeps the “flies” – demons, diseases and destruction – away from our tabernacles!

The Prayer of Faith draws the FLOW of FAVOUR that can penetrate prison walls, part prison gates and release captives. The anointing for favour spared Peter from the swing of Herod’s sword which had only recently severed the head of James (Acts 12:2-4)! It was the same anointing that had turned the table in favour of Mordecai when Haman had thought that the decree of genocide against the Jews was already signed, sealed and delivered (Esther 6:10). This anointing ensured that: “they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king's wrath pacified” (Est.7:10).
