DRY BONES SHALL FLOURISH

“… behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry. And He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” – Ezekiel 37: 2b-3

God specialises in dealing with Dryness. He causes DRY BONES TO LIVE and FLOURISH, and He turns dry lands into watered Gardens and Living Springs! Ezekiel encountered a situation of extreme dryness, but that didn’t remain so for ever! Though all around may look gloomy and hopeless like the valley of very dry bones, because the hand of the LORD is upon me, I choose to believe the report of the LORD, for HE KNOWS that the dry bones will come alive and flourish. I choose to PROPHESY as He commands. The dry bones in my life, family, career and ministry shall live! The dry bones in the Church and in my nation shall live and flourish afresh!

Dryness is the state of being patched, being without water or lacking life-giving resources. Water represents Life. I cannot imagine a world without water – without ponds, fountains, streams, rivers or oceans! Dryness stands for one or more of these: barrenness, deficiency, fruitlessness, famine, frustration, failure, hunger, hardship, lack, poverty, penury, scarcity, stagnancy, toiling without profit, and sweating without success. Dry lands easily catch fire! Extreme dryness is a degree of decay, destruction and death.

Dryness manifests in diverse dimensions: Spiritual dryness (deficiency, ineffectiveness, lack of results); Physical (ill-health, barrenness); Emotional/Relational (Lack of Joy or fulfilment); Material/Financial (Poverty or penury); Business, Career of Ministry (a life characterized by sweat, struggles, losses, and lack of fulfilment, profit or productivity). Irrespective of the nature of dryness you might have been experiencing, God is able to turn things around for the best. He is not done with us! God is not done with my nation – Nigeria! He shall complete that which He has commenced, and perfect that which He has pioneered.

Our Dry Bones shall live and flourish like a Mighty Army! Our Dry Lands shall flourish like watered Gardens! How? “There shall be Showers of Blessings! This is the Promise of the Love. There shall be Season Refreshing, sent from the Saviour above! Showers of Blessings; showers of blessings we need. Mercy drops round us are falling. But for the Showers we plead!”

Here are few of His Bountiful Promises:

He turns the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into watersprings (Psa.107:35).

I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry lands springs of water (Isa.41:18).

Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert (Isa. 43:19).

For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the Garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody (Isa. 51:3).

And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not (Isa. 58:11).

Beloved, please join me in praying for yourself, loved ones, and our nations.

O LORD, in Jesus name:

Rescue me from every Valley of Dryness.

Deliver me from deficiencies and dryness of life.

Turn every desert of dryness into springs of water for me.

Bring fertility to every situation of barrenness in my life.

Bring fruitfulness to every area of fruitlessness in my life.

Bring blossoming to every wilderness situation in my life.

Bring fulfilment to every situation of frustration in my life.

Bring super-abundance to every situation of scarcity in my life.

Bring profit to every situation of losses in my life.

Bring prosperity to every situation of penury in my life.

Bring pleasure to every situation of pressure in my life.

Bring freshness to every situation of dryness in my life.

Bring flourishing to every situation of withering in my life.

Usher me into Seasons of Mercy, Grace, and Favor!
