Bible Meditation:
Matthew 6:1-7

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him – Hebrews 11:6

God is a Rewarder. The faith that pleases God is the kind of faith that believes that God exists and that He is a Rewarder.  Our faith would be incomplete unless we are firmly convinced that God rewards those who diligently seek Him (Heb.11:6). The just and righteous God always rewards the righteous: “Surely there is a REWARD for the righteous…” (Psa.58:11). He told Abraham, “I am your shield, your exceedingly GREAT REWARD” (Gen.15:1). God appreciates every effort made to serve Him: Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing you’re your labor is not in vain in the Lord” (1Cor.15:58).

Hebrews 10:35 exhorts: “Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has GREAT REWARD.” Rewards come in two broad forms: present earthly rewards and heavenly rewards. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said: “Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you” (Mt.5:12). Peter once asked Jesus: “See, we have left all and followed You. Therefore what shall we have?” (Mt.19:27). Rather than rebuke Peter for that question, Jesus assured His disciples that they would be rewarded for their sacrifices. We would gain blessings far in excess of any personal sacrifices we might make for His Kingdom (Mt.19:29).

Apart from the diligent seeker, God also rewards the following classes of people:

  • those who love and reverence His Word – His law, testimony, statutes, commandment, and judgements (Psa.19:7-11);
  • those who are persecuted and reviled because of their devotion and dedication to Him (Mt.5:11-12; Lk.6:22-23).
  • those who practice and exemplify the nature and character of Christ, such as praying for their offenders (Mt.5:43-38),
  • the humble, who refuse to make a public display of their acts of kindness or their spirituality (Mt.6:1-7);
  • those who labour in His Name and on His behalf – planters, waterers, and diverse cadres of Kingdom builders (1Cor.3:7-14)

The LORD Jesus Christ is coming back soon; and He is coming with rewards (Rev.22:12). Colossians 3:23-25 admonishes: “And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the REWARD of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.” Continue to put in your best – your all – into the Kingdom, that you may “receive a full reward” (2Jh.1:8). Nothing you do for the Lord goes unnoticed, for Your God is a righteous Rewarder!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
