“...Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me” – Isa.6:8b
Isaiah was ushered into a new realm of life and ministry as he encountered HEAVEN’S LIGHT of PURPOSE: “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me” (Isa.6:8). Isaiah saw the Lord in His sovereignty and absolute authority. He beheld the all-pervading, awe-inspiring majesty of Jehovah. He saw the Lord Who is in total control of His entire creation. He saw the Lord who controls the majority – the innumerable company of angels and uncountable multitudes of the Kingdom (Heb. 12:22). He encountered the Light of the God Who alone is to be reverenced, the God of all flesh who is in charge of His creation (Jer. 32:27).
Isaiah’s encounter contrasts the transience of human life and authority typified by the dead mortal, King Uzziah, with the eternal permanence of the immortal God, whose glorious train fills the courts of heaven. It took the death of the prophet’s ‘idol’ for his eyes to be opened to the reality of the God of heaven. Beloved, you may need to ask yourself: Who or What is the ‘Uzziah’ that’s keeping me from encountering God’s Light of Purpose? God is not a lonely figure sitting on an isolated throne in a temple somewhere in the clouds: “The train of His robe filled the temple” (v.1b). He is the omnipotent One at whose command heaven’s train stands at attention and the wheels of eternity roll into motion.
There can be no greater, dearer or more glorious vision that the Vision of the Lord God Almighty. This is where it all begins. All earthly visions vanish into insignificance in full view of the vision of the Glory of God. All other visions bow before the vision of His Majesty the King of kings! With the reception of that heavenly spectacle, vivid pictures were painted upon the pavement of Isaiah’s spirit – pictures that permanently and radically transformed his life for the best. The true vision of God will completely change our entire perception of life and reconnect us to our Creator and Maker and to our Purpose or reason for being. With this fresh encounter with the Heaven’s Light, came a cleansing, rediscovery of Purpose, and renewed covenant commitment to serve the Lord and His people: “Then I said, “Here I am! Send me” (v.3b).
Heaven’s Light of Purpose and Vision will never leave us unchanged. It will transform our thoughts, our tongue, our passions, and treasured desires. God’s divine Agenda and eternal Will become our priorities, pre-occupations, and pursuits in life. An encounter with the Almighty God is most crucial for the discovery or re-discovery of Life’s Purpose. Isaiah was later to say: “At that day shall a man LOOK to His Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel” (Isa.17:7).

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
