The ENTRANCE of Your WORDS gives LIGHT; it gives UNDERSTANDING to the simple – Psalm 119:130
Alleluia! Welcome to the Seventh Month of our Year of Divine Light and Life – our Month of LIGHT of UNDERSTANDING: “The ENTRANCE of Your WORDS gives LIGHT; it gives UNDERSTANDING to the simple” (Psa.119:130). Understanding is the third of the Triplets of Light: Knowledge, Wisdom, and Understanding. All three emanate from God’s Words! Though distinct, Understanding always walks and works with Wisdom: “GET WISDOM, GET UNDERSTANDING: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth ... Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore GET WISDOM. And in all your getting, GET UNDERSTANDING” (Pro.4: 5,7). That is, “Add Understanding to your Pursuit of Wisdom”! God is our Model: “The LORD by WISDOM founded the earth; by UNDERSTANDING He established the heavens” (Pro.3:19).
God’s Wisdom and Understanding are never in conflict. Both speak with a voice: “Does not wisdom cry, and understanding lift up her voice?” (Pro.8:1). Both are hugely rewarding: “He who gets wisdom loves his own soul; he who keeps understanding will find good” (Pro.19:8). Few scriptures feature all Triplets: “For the LORD gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding” (Pro.2:6); “Through wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; by knoweldge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches” (Pro.24:3-4). May the Words of God’s establish our lives on the Tripod of the Light of Knowledge, Wisdom, and Understanding, in Jesus’ Name.
How do we distinguish between these Triplets? Knowledge gives us the information – the What; Wisdom, the How; Understanding unravels the WHY behind the What and How! In Acts 8:30, Philip asked the Ethiopian eunuch, “Do you understand what you are reading?” The eunuch replied, “How can I, unless someone guides me?” Knowledge is never sufficient without Wisdom and Understanding. Knowledge in isolation “puffs up” and “shall vanish away” (1Cor.8:1; 13:8). That’s why some are “always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth” (2Tim.3:7). Wisdom is the correct application of Knowledge. Understanding is the ability to lift deeper meanings out of the facts.
We must however differentiate natural from divine understanding. Proverbs 3:5-7 says: “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING…Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and depart from evil.” Paul prayed for Spiritual Understanding: “The EYES of YOUR UNDERSTANDNG being enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints” (Eph.1:18). Rather than lean on our natural understanding, as we hear, read, study, and meditate in God’s Word, we can pray and believe for the eyes of our Understanding to “SEE” the deepest meanings of all that God is saying!
God’s Servants are entitled to Divine Understanding: “I am Your servant; give me understanding...” (v.125). By the Light of Understanding, Believers can walk victoriously in the full Realities of Redemption.

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
