Bible Meditation:
1 Corinthians 2: 1-16

But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God” – 1Corinthians 2:10

Jesus Christ is described as: “a LIGHT to bring REVELATION to the Gentiles, and the glory of Your people Israel (Lk. 2:32). Revelation is therefore another vital dimension of Light! Indeed, the very best of knowledge, wisdom and understanding come through revelation. ‘Revelation Knowledge’ refers to that which is “revealed” by God, in contrast to ‘Sense Knowledge’ which comes through carnal rationalisation, mental exertion or fleshly reasoning. The Lord Jesus told Peter, flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven” (Mt.16:17b). Paul prayed that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and REVELATION in the full knowledge of Him…” (Eph.1:17). Revelation is wholly spiritual in its genesis and essence! Paul, the writer of more than two-thirds of the New Testament testified: “how that by revelation He made known to me the mystery…” (Eph.3:3).

Revelation is the knowledge that God shines into your mind from the Holy Spirit through your human spirit: For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the LIGHT of the KNOWLEDGE of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ(2Cor.4:6). The Light of Revelation can be likened to a spiritual ‘laser’ beam that gives precise, correct knowledge, like physical laser beams give accurate measurements. The Greek word for ‘revelation’ – epignosis – actually means “precise and correct knowledge.” Conversely, sense knowledge is the knowledge that comes into your mind through your five highly limited physical senses. God wants us to know Him intimately and to live victoriously on earth, hence He has given us the Holy Spirit to enable us walk in revelation. You cannot know God through sense knowledge, but by revelation because God is a Spirit and spiritual things are imperceptible to the physical senses.

The deep things of God do not come through mental rigor, but by Revelation (1Cor.2:10). However, along with revelation knowledge you need to have spiritual understanding and wisdom to apply that knowledge profitably so it can bring forth fruit in your life: “… that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God” (Col.1:9-10). The Wisdom of God is “hidden wisdom” which is contacted only by Revelation (1Cor.2:7). We deal in revealed truth, not reasoned-out facts. Until it is revealed, it cannot be released or received. Revelation has not ceased. The heavens are not shut. God still reveals His Heart to His servants and sons today, and He can speak to you. He wants to reveal to His children the unfathomable “mysteries” of His Kingdom for a life of all-round Impact (Mt.13:11).

In all matters of destiny, God’s revealed answers are superior, but they must be spiritually discovered to be delivered to you! The question is ‘How?’ Revelation comes through: the Ministry gifts, the gifts of the Spirit (Word of Knowledge, Word of Wisdom; Discerning of spirits); meditating in the Word; and praying regularly with tongues (Eph.4:11-12; 1Cor.12:8-10). Through unknown tongues, the Holy Spirit unveils “mysteries” (1Cor. 14:2). Fasting also enhances other spiritual exercises such that “your LIGHT shall break forth like the morning” (Isa.58:8a). In the divine order, Reason bows before Revelation. Marion G. Romney says: “Prayer is the means by which men communicate with God. Revelation is the means by which God communicates with men.” God does not reveal information by communication: He reveals Himself by communion: “deep calls unto deep…” (Psa.42:7). Revelation is a personal meeting of God with man: Mind with mind; Person to person.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
