“By You I have been UPHELDFROM BIRTH; You are He who took me out of my mother’s womb. My praise shall be continually of You” – Psalm 71:6
Today and always, I am THANKFUL for BIRTH and LIFE: “By You I have been UPHELD FROM BIRTH; You are He who took me out of my mother’s womb. My praise shall be continually of You” (Psa.71:6). The Message Bible says succinctly: “I've hung on you from the day of my birth, the day you took me from the cradle; I'll never run out of praise.” I thank the Lord for fulfilling the promise of being with me since the very beginning, even from my mother’s womb. He Who brought me into this world has watched over me every step of the way. I can claim the promise of always relying on Him and praising Him for His faithfulness. May I be enabled to trust in the Lord more and to always remember that He is with me, guiding me through every moment of life. I am thankful for His Love and Grace!
The psalmist constantly acknowledged God for birth and life: “But You are He who took me out of the womb; You made me trust while on My mother’s breasts. I was cast upon You from birth. From My mother’s womb You have been My God” (Psa.22:9-10). “For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb...Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them” (Psa.139: 13,16).
These truths apply to every human being ever born. We ultimately rely on God for everything since our day one. He brought us forth, and by our free wills, we can choose to praise Him. As eternal souls, we have the ability and space to praise Him forever! I choose to cultivate an heart of gratitude to God for delivering me safely from my mother’s womb, for infancy, formative years of childhood, teenage years, transitory season of adolescence, decades of responsible adulthood and parenting, and entry into mature adulthood and grand-parenting.
Verses 17 and 18 affirm: “O God, You have taught me from my youth; and to this day I declare Your wondrous works. Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, do not forsake me, until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to everyone who is to come.” As reflect, I recognize that it’s only by the Grace of God that I am still in life’s race. How amazing that the Lord Who upheld me at birth is still holding me up today, after Sixty-three years – not abandoned for a day! He is faithful in every season of life, with the Promise: “Even to your old age, I am He, and even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you” (Isa.46:4).

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
