But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him MERCY, and gave him FAVOUR in the sight of the keeper of the prison – Genesis 39:21
The Bible describes Joseph as “a prosperous man” – a successful man – even while he was a slave under his master the Egyptian. This was traced to the Lord being with Joseph. God’s PRESENCE released HIS FAVOUR, which in turn provoked the favour of Potiphar: “And Joseph FOUND FAVOUR in his sight, and he ministered unto him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand” (Gen. 39:4, ASV). All of these could not be attributed to a natural cause. The favour upon Joseph was a supernatural force, so evident that his master saw it and so impactful that “the Lord blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake” (Gen.39: 3-5).
Favour seemed to follow Joseph and single him out for blessings wherever God led him. Favour could be described as the divine CURRENT that carried Joseph from one season of life to the next. Favour was the GOLDEN RIVER that lifted him from the pit, through Potiphar’s house and prison, to the palace! Joseph enjoyed the favour of God even in the midst of extremely trying situations. God’s favour does not always mean a straight track to the top. Joseph’s story shows that sometimes God’s favour takes you through the difficult times. In God’s time, this same favour elevated Joseph to the second most powerful position in the mightiest nation of the then world (Gen.41:40).
Harsh times don’t necessarily mean that God had abandoned you or that you’re disfavoured. Also, comfortable times don’t necessarily mean the presence of favour. While God’s favour can take some surprising turns, it always ultimately leads to a blessed destination. Those who seek His favour tend to leave a legacy that continues on long after them. Long after Joseph had left the scene, his descendants could still partake of “the favour of Him who dwelt in the burning bush” (Dt.33:16 NIV).
Beloved, that same divine flow of favour is still available in God’s Presence, to bear you from your present season into your future dreams. The golden river of favour can literally lift you from the pit to the palace and from the dungeon to distinction. I pray for you: You will not miss the day of your favour – the day that’ll mark the turning point in your life; when the sweat, struggles, toiling and torture would be cancelled. Favour will usher you into a “sweat-less” realm of life in Jesus name.

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
